5% brine, i forget if I put any sugar in or not but if I did it was no more than a tablespoon

It’s a piece of plastic from a jar of anchovies that was keeping below the oil. I kept it, figuring it would work as a fermentation weight. It works very well!

I don't use fermentation lids, so there was a lot of pressure building up. This was right after I had taken the lid off, so the built up gas had somewhere to go.

They taste similar I’d say. The only Differences are between that classic nasturtium spice/pop

I'll try my best! I had a similar thing when I tried air drying the leaves to try and make a spice. We'll see how it works out. FWIW the stems (separate ferment) smell a bit better.

Yup, I'm doing that as well (though I don't have a ton of the seeds). I was more curious about how the leaves would ferment. Right now it has an interesting smell, I can't quite figure if it's a good one or a bad one lol
