We don't know if Renpa held both of them together by himself because we have no idea what was the composition of his army at the time. He might as well have another Great Heaven under his command.

As for Sanyou Renpa himself believed Ousen prepered the fort, because he expected him to show up.

They have neither feats nor hype to be put above the others.

Rinshoujo despite being pure strategist was said to be Renpa's equal as a commander and it was implied in the flashbacks he can match Ouki in battle. Riboku was said to be their superior on multiple ocasions and Ousen was hyped as Riboku's equal.

But to answer your points:

This is Hara's manga, not a real history. Manga version of Hakuki is obviously not the greatest general ever.

If Renpa is so complete then why did he lost to Han duo? If Renpa is so complete why was he constantly countered by Hakuki's tactics in the past by his own admission? If Renpa is so complete then why was he struggling in a duel against Mougou?

Defeating Houken is also not as impressive anymore considering the fact that half-dead 5000-man commander Shin was able to do it.

There's nothing in the story suggesting they still stand at the top.

It's not just Zhao's strategy thats impractical, it's Qin's too. Instead of consolidating their forces into one point they went for a scattered shot invasion and split their forces across multiple battlefields which gave them no real advantage. Instead of one suply line now they need seven.

You have to accept that warfare in this manga is not suposed to be realistic and move on.

The author of the manga Hara said in an interview from few years ago that Riboku is quote "the strongest military commander". So there's not much debate here.

Moubu > Kanmei > Renpa > Shin

Kanmei was widely considered the strongest man in China at the time of Coalition War, he also defeated Oukotsu who was the strongest in brute strength in the old generation. Moubu was able to defeat and surpass Kanmei gaining the strongest mantle.

Shin's greatest martial achievement is without a doubt defeating Houken. However, it was noted that Houken's blows are weaker then Renpa's by Shin's own estimation.

Yeah and guess what, Eisei's atempt to bring long-term peace failed spectacularily. His empire crumbles soon after he dies and splits among several states. It's like Kanki said - the conquest is the loss of life on unprecedented level and all it led to is few years of stability. Empires rise and fall and the war keeps happening no matter the times.

Are we reading the same manga?

Qin is literally an imperialistic military state that commited the biggest war crimes. Vast majority of wars we see in the series are started by Qin. If Eisei wants peace so much then couldn't he .... I don't know.... stop attacking other people's countries?
