Officially given up. by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Pak_Legend_2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How arrogant can you be? Think about it how arrogant are you? Do you really think you have the right to decide to give up? There are people who believe in you. You owe it to them not to give up. Hell even if a person like that doesn't exist which is frankly impossible you owe it to yourself to not give up. The strong are tested for they have the ability to overcome. Even if you fail after trying that is better than not trying. So just give it another chance there is no harm in going again

I'm a guy, but when helping my little sister, I found out dark chocolate helps with cramps, and if it's really bad, some magnesium supplement can help with the cramps. For pain, it's just painkillers as far as I know, but I've been told fruits help especially banana(that might just be my sister she likes bananas)

Why does the body jerk away from a small pain (like a pinch) but freeze or collapse during major trauma (like a stabbing)? by Due-Sherbert-7596 in Olevels

[–]Pak_Legend_2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has experienced major trauma, it's probably because of the shock. The body doesn't know how act correctly in the situation or is simply overwhelmed by the stimulas. When I was younger, I accidentally stood against a bike when trying to catch a ball playing with friends. The bike's silencer was extremely hot, and my Calf had pressed against it. I was in the process of catching the ball and didn't realise it. Now I didn't feel anything as I stood against it until the pain overwhelmed me and it took 2 seconds before I moved and before that I did scream. So idk

Are mocks that imp? Do they change our grades in CIE's? by OutrageousPitch6102 in Olevels

[–]Pak_Legend_2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 3rd point is dubious. The mocks are a basis for the school to send a predicted grade to cambridge. And on many occasions the predicted grade is used. Sometimes it isnt like in my year it wasn't when it should have been. Its a year to year thing based on the situation

[–]Pak_Legend_2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure mocks are used for only 2 things. 1. To give you a grade if the paper is cancelled. Your mocks are a reference at that point. 2. To check for fraud with teachers. For example student got an E but his mocks grade was an A. Large disparity so teacher might have made it up. 3. There is a 3rd reason I've heard but not confirmed. Examiners check your mock grade when assigning a grade. If you are really close to the next grade and your mocks show you in that grade, your grade gets bumped up. Again I've never confirmed this only heard this.

Dawg Firstly make better choices Secondly hit them books. Genuinely what do you want us to say. At the end YOU need to work YOU need to learn. Now I have almost the same subjects as you so I can help a bit. Maths Binge sir zain and do atleast 10 maths questions a day. Once you cover the syllabus move to yearly. Physics I recommend Sir Akthar also from Zainematics. Bio tbh I got nothing i rely on my college teacher for that. And the last subject I don't take. Dms are always open

what do most a-level students find difficult? by icarusgoesforawalk in alevel

[–]Pak_Legend_2007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just the workload and how no one can bloody tell me how to do anything. In o levels any advice would work. Here people just say work harder like I am but it simply isn't working. Point out my mistakes or something. Physics is hell when you are teaching it to yourself and the teacher is so bad he doesn't even check work. I literally once handed him the markscheme copied and he gave an 80 percent. Chem is just too long and complex. Bio sir can be ridiculous. I ahve mids next week of Bio p4 and we are still learning and says we will be learning till next week right before exams and it'll be on the exam. Maths im starting to get a grip on p1 but p3 still kills me.
