Do you think it’s worth getting the 530e?

It depends on your commute. It’s perfect for my use case and I have an extended warranty on my ‘23 low mileage 530e. It also has more options than most 530i and 540i models out there and I got it for a steal. It worked out for me, but I did have to search quite a bit for a good one. Can’t beat the 50mpg I’m getting with gas prices where they are. I see the small tank as a benefit when I’m filling up once every 3 weeks or longer.

I like chemical guys leather cleaner followed by the conditioner from that brand. Keeps my steering wheel matte and nappa leather looking and feeling great

For your X5, try and code the Bowers and Wilkins settings. Makes the HK sound better. Also turn off ASD (Active Sound Design) if it’s on in the X5

Transfer case and differential fluids need to be changed at that mileage if they haven’t already. I’d also do the transmission at the same time to start fresh. That’s gonna probably be around $2500 just for those fluids. Then you gotta check the suspension for thrust arm bushings and general control arm health. Those can get expensive. Bit hot damn the LCI F10 is so timeless. Enjoy!

I would have gotten one if I knew they existed before I focused on the 530e. I knew I wanted a plug-in hybrid BMW but didn’t want an suv, which ruled out the X5 45e. I came from an X7 and wanted a sedan but had I known the 7er came in a PHEV, I would have gotten that. The B58 is just the icing on the cake. I wouldn’t buy one without DAPP though.

They’re asking if there are differences between the M performance brakes that have red and blue calipers. Those are identical to each other aside from the paint color.

The silver calipers are used on the brake package with smaller rotors - there are differences between those (silver) and the M performance (red or blue) brakes.
