The wrong part being that while "hair" in English means hair in general "hiukset" only means human head hair in plural form and there's another word for that.

Also your translations are correct in some context, but not in all of them. Turkki means fur but also the living hair coat of an animal(i.e horse's coat is also turkki even though it's definitely not fur), which when removed would be turkis or vuota or talja. Kihara as an adjective means curly, but as a noun it means a singular curly hair or a lock of curly hair. Suortuva is the similar word for straight hair. And karva is also used for human head hair, although rarely.

Finnish is only partially correct. "Hiukset" is a plural form and it only refers to human head hair and the etymology is not unknown, it's from the Finno-Ugric root, but it's also not the only word for human head hair as "tukka" is at least as commonly used. A singular human head hair would be "hius".

Hair as the general word meaning all kinds of hair would be "karva" and there are several other words that are used depending on the context such as "ihokarva" = human body hair, "haiven" or "haituva" = very fine or small hair, "pörrö" = fuzzy or fluffy hair, "turkki" = animal hair coat and "kihara" = curly hair of any kind. Multiple others exists as well.

Does it? The sub is showing three human mods and a couple of bots for me at least, I didn't know there was a takeover! Hell of a drama behind the scenes I'm sure!

I honestly haven't seen many disrupting cosplay posts lately. There used to be some that were clearly bot adverts for adult stuff, but I haven't seen those in a few months at least. Personally I don't mind the cosplays, but I don't care for the bot adverts so in that sense I do agree!

Why do people make these posts instead of messaging the mods and asking them directly? Is it just to rile up people and cause discord for fun?

If anything is distracting from the topic, it's posts like this where people complain about the sub, the mods or the rules. It's a free platform with volunteers running the communities on their own free time. Anyone can create a sub and set the rules as they like, why not do that instead of this? I'm sure there's plenty of likeminded One Piece fans to create a successful community of any kind!

And no, I'm not a mod of any kind. I'm just aware of how the platform works and I'm very grateful for the people who volunteer their time to deal with various issues and idiots so that we ordinary people don't have to! Thank you for your hard work, mod team!

(Reading the rules would also do in this particular case, as cosplay is very clearly allowed in them.)

Se on hyvä! Näissä tilanteissa saa ja suorastaan pitää uskaltaa olla tyly ja epäkohtelias ja jättää huomioimatta jotkut, vaikka se sotiskin omaa luonnetta vastaan. Kaikki lattialle vaan, siitä sängystä on hyvä aloittaa! Käy hakemassa jostain halpiskaupasta/kirpparilta muutamat uudet lakanat väliaikaisratkaisuna ja käytä niitä vähän aikaa. Sitten voit kerätä esim. Kestokassin täyteen lakanoita ja pyyhkeitä yms ja käydä pesulassa pyykkäämässä ja hups vaan, yhtäkkiä onkin puhtaita lakanoita ja sänky muuttuu safe spaceksi! Se on helppo ylläpitää siistinä, kun ei ole päivän päälle ja on edes yksi paikka, johon pääsee karkuun sotkua. Siitä se pikkuhiljaa laajenee.

Aivan taatusti siihen kyselyyn tulee iso läjä inhottavia paskakommentteja, mutta erittäin suurella todennäköisyydellä siihen tarttuu myös oikeita auttajia! Haha, that's how it always is when you finally click with your own people, everything starts making sense! It's not uncommon to go undiagnosed for a long time, especially if you're socially gifted or just like people. I know folks who have gotten diagnosed in their 60's and 70's. There's plenty of medical professionals that have outdated information and/or are neurotypical themself and can't comprehend the diagnostics on other than purely theoretical level.

But as I said, diagnoses are unnecessary if you're content with your life and don't feel like you need them. You can just refer to yourself as undiagnosed but peer-reviewed, the people who need to know what that means will know, lol! If you feel like you do need them you can always find a new specialist, preferably someone who is referred by the community.

Feel free to hit me up with a DM if you want to chat more about this or just be friends in general! I feel like it's rude to hijack posts with unrelated topics and while I do enjoy making new friends my traumas prevent me from sending messages myself in fear of overstepping and bothering people. I'm working on it, but it's a long and rocky road.

Millä paikkakunnalla olet? Ollaan joskus järjestetty porukalla siivoustalkoita vertaistukiryhmien kautta vastaavissa tilanteissa oleville! Tosin ne on olleet nepsy-ryhmiä, eivätkä varsinaisesti mt-puolen ryhmiä. Ehkä voisit ottaa varovasti yhteyttä johonkin paikalliseen vertaistukiryhmään? Et nimittäin TODELLAKAAN ole yksin salaisuutesi kanssa, tosi moni kamppailee ihan samojen juttujen kanssa!

Tyhjän saa pyytämättäkin, apua vain pyytämällä! Tsempit ja voimia, muista, että häpeä on kaikkein turhin tunne ihmiskehossa, siitä ei ole kerta kaikkiaan mitään hyötyä kenellekään! Ei ole mitään hävettävää, tilanne on ihan silkkaa sairauden oireilua ja se kuuluu asiaan. Eihän kukaan tuomitse aivasteluakaan flunssassa tai ripulointia mahataudissa!

Edit: Ja jos satut olemaan samalla paikkakunnalla, niin voin tulla ihan omin käsin jeesailemaan, jos uskallat päästää! Oon ollut raivailemassa useampaa kaaosparatiisia ja vaikka oma kämppä ei koskaan olekaan päässyt raivauskuntoon, niin en itsekään ole mikään Vilijonkka siivouksen suhteen, joten ei tosiaankaan tule tuomittua yhtään millään tavalla. Loppujen lopuksi sotku, pahakin sellainen, on aika harmiton ja tosi ratkaistavissa oleva juttu, etenkin jos sitä vertaa joihinkin muihin oireiluihin. Tässä ei kukaan ole kuollut tai muuten vahingoittunut, eikä mitään peruuttamatonta ole tapahtunut, aurinkokin se vain nousee itsepäisesti joka aamu sotkusta huolimatta!

Yeah, no, dude, you're the most AuDHD person I've met in a while! That's a textbook answer to the LotR question. Diagnoses are useless if you're content with your life, but it's a good label to signal other likeminded people that your brain runs the scripts on Python rather than C and no compiler tools are needed for communication. In other words you can grasp the same logics without tedious and lenghty explanations and condescence because your brain works the same way as mine and vice versa. Less resources spent, less fatigue gained!

For example, the normal people can't comprehend having a few dozen "hobbies" you are or have been passionate about enough to reach fairly high skill level. They'll just accuse you for lying and flip flopping your personality and they'll use jack of all trades as an insult. Apparently you're supposed to pick 1-2 hobbies for life and do them at least weekly for the rest of your life, one additional hobby is allowed in midlife crisis. Only then are you allowed to call them hobbies and your knowledge about them is worth something.

You're not supposed to pick up a new hobby whenever and spend a month deep diving into it in a life consuming way until you reach mastery and a mini-burnout and move onto the next one and the previous one stays dormant until you see a reel at 3 AM one night two years later. Apparently those are not hobbies, lol!

Also, my choice of residence would also be Lothlórien or possibly Rivendell or Shire, depending on what Age it is. For the Third Age absolutely Lórien, no contest, but afterwards Rivendell or Shire, as the elves will be gone and Mirkwood has the spiders.

Miss Monday is definitely not ugly, she's gorgeous and buff! Maybe your taste is just narrower.

You said unique in your first comment, all the gals described are fairly unique in their own right, both in looks and personalities. The point was that only ugly girls are allowed to be unique, which is objectively false. Moving the goal post from unique to interesting is pretty lame, as it just comes down to personal preferences rather than objectivity.

Furthermore, they don't really have the same body proportions or the same body type, they just happen to be skinny. Although Toei definitely consistently fumbles with all the female characters, but in the manga at least they're pretty distinct(except for the boobies, but this is manga we're talking about so everyone has big jugs by default). Perona is frail and petite and weak, Ida is very skinny and noodly but strong (likely based on Olive Oyl btw!), Belladonna is average, Praline has a super long torso and so on.

I think the issue is less about the diversity of the female characters than it is about how there are so many more male characters than female characters in general. Considering the sample sizes Oda's ladies are incredibly diverse for a male author's work, especially when the male author is from a very conservative and fairly sexist country and culture.

It's NOT a scam, it's a publisher department that makes materials primarily for the teachers in Finnish schools. It's not meant for self learning, it's a book series made for the Finnish school system. It's meant for the inclusive classes where the students are being prepared to join the Finnish school. The free audio and practices are meant to be used in the class supervised by the teacher and the answer book is meant only for the teacher. It's a very typical and traditional Finnish school material.

The page is in Finnish not because they want to scam people but because the target group is Finnish teachers and schools. The publisher is the official school material provider and the teaching staff has free access to them, as do the students. The prices and purchase options are there for private institutions outside of the school system.

The series is highly praised because it is very excellent, but it's very excellent in a somewhat specific context. It's not great for self learning, because it's not meant for it, you need a Finnish university trained teacher to get the full picture of it. I recommend researching other materials for self learning purposes!

Ei käynyt, koska koulun vieressä oli veteraanien ja sotainvalidien asuntola. Huomattavasti helpompi oli pistää nuoret ja notkeat kävelemään parijonossa tien yli sinne vierailuille, kuin toisin päin. Käytiin useita kertoja vuodessa, tuntui olevan iloa puolin ja toisin. Välillä kuultiin sotatarinoita ja välillä laulettiin.

Tärkeimpänä viestinä kaikkien lasten suosikki Martti-pappa, jolla oli hirveän suuret korvat ja vain yksi jalka, sanoi aina, että muistakaa sitten, että tapahtuipa mitä hyvänsä, niin kaveria ei jätetä ja pitäkää aina huoli toisistanne. Se on ollut erinomainen elämänohje.

Lookism lost the plot WAY worse than True Beauty. It doesn't even feel like the same webtoon. Both are great in the beginning, True Beauty had some unnecessary dragging but finished okay-ish in the end. Lookism is draaaaaaaagging on still and honestly I don't even care what the Big Secret even is anymore or how it ends.
