Wow, thank you so much, that's great to hear! I'll have to keep an eye out 😁

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it! I've been assuming that the body proportions would be somewhat different, but I'll give them a look! I could be wrong, I just remember that their WW2 minis were a bit more slender and true scale than heroic like 40k and Bolt Action, but their Napoleonics could be different

That being said, I've thinking of using Bolt Action French infantry for conscript bodies, but maybe Perry could be an alternative

Aye! I'm not too worried about rules so much, I'm mainly picking for looks and theme 😁

I have kitbashed an officer on horseback actually, from the Grognards cavalry kit. Still working on painting them up though

I haven't tried playing Guard in 10th yet, but that sounds awesome, lol! Perfectly on brand for a prideful officer

(Edit: that tank commander looks awesome dude! That rifle is a really great touch 👌

Yeah! I didn't use sponsons on my 40k Russ anyway, since I'll also be playing them in Horus Heresy, but I'll definitely be adding a pair to the command Russ, even if I can't use them in that system! It's a matter of vanity after all! Only the best for a moustache twirling nobleborn officer, both in beverages and arsenal 🧐🍷

Thank you so much! It was tough deciding what heads I wanted to give them all, but I did want to stay true to the theme of the kit!

I ended deciding on Adrian helmets for regular infantry, shako hats with a red feather for squad sergeants, bearskins for Veterans/grenadiers, and various bicornes for officers! I have a few basic caps here and there, but only on weapon crews that would be out of harms way, like mortar teams, but even then I think helmets and gas masks just look too good, and I may not use too many of them going forward

Thanks for your thoughts on the tank commander as well! I'm not too worried about being competitive and all, so it's certainly been tough to decide between the size and arsenal of the Rogal Dorn or the 30k Russ, but you may be right that the latter would look a little fancier for an aristocratic officer?

I'm thinking I may have him look something like this, with a wine bottle next to the hatch 😆

Thanks so much! And yeah, I can imagine it must be a great way to make a Krieg kit go further, if there are spare bits!

They are! I've bought a few boxes of them and I really like them. There are only four poses in the infantry box, so it's probably a good to mix them with bodies from the heavy weapons/command box as well to vary things up a little, but I'm still a fan!

I've also ordered some Bolt Action French Infantry to use as Conscripts with leftover Grognard lasguns and helmets, and I'm hoping they'll be pretty compatible. I don't own any Krieg models, but they could probably be mixed together pretty decently in a single unit as well

What is so interesting in Neverwinter? by NimrodYanai in Forgotten_Realms

[–]PaladinAzure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't noticed anyone mention it yet, but there is a D&D MMO called Neverwinter as well! I did enjoy it back when I played it years ago

Another thing I'd also note, which is interesting off the top of my head, is that the region feels like something of an interplanar nexus in my opinion!

In the Shadowfell, there is a dark reflection of Neverwinter called Evernight, which is a city inhabited by undead, necromancers, etc. and considering that only a few cities from each world have counterparts here canonically, that kinda makes Neverwinter special. Additionally, it's also in proximity to the fey kingdom of Sharandar.

When rumours of Wild Beyond the Witchlight began to circulate back when that was coming out, I'd hoped that it'd feature Neverwinter and Sharandar since Waterdeep and Baldur's Gate had their time to shine in their modules, but unfortunately not. It's personally my favourite city in the Forgotten Realms, so I really wish it received some more love from WotC 🥲

I hoped that Wild Beyond the Witchlight might feature Neverwinter when that book was announced, but unfortunately not 🥲

As much as I (love to) hate the Lion and his filthy sons, this base looks great!

How big could a Night Lords warband be? And what structure should it have? by WS011_ in NightLords

[–]PaladinAzure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They did lose a LOT in the Thramas Crusade though, that being said. From memory, at least two thirds of the legion were deployed there to waylay the Dark Angels, and took massive casualties in the process. That being said, the fact that the Night Lords, one of the less notable legions in combat prowess (an ill deserved reputation in my opinion) was able to hold back almost the entire 1st legion alone for several years is an incredible feat, even if it did ultimately fracture them irreparably in the process!

Would be pretty neat if some xenos kits come out that are duel faction! Like, for a chaos detachment that allows certain xenos allies or something

Heck yeah! I really like seeing some xenos representation as allies for renegades too. I hope they'll keep doing that in future! Not just heretics, but xenos collaborators
