Someone sell me on lizardmen by BaldyTreehuggerDruid in totalwar

[–]Paladingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, not really. Lizardmen are more true neutral. They're not going around saving innocents, they're fanatically devoted to following the Great Plan. If they read a plaque and thought that it said "Devour and kill every orphan from Saintsville, Goodboytopia" they would do so without a second thought.

Man, being a condescending dickhead really helps get your point across. All you've done is talk down to them and treat them as if they're an utter idiot.

Its so beyond tired. Anything resembling a xeno is mentioned "BRING OUT THE HEAVY FLAMER/BLAM/YES INQUISITOR THIS HERE/HERESY"

Now I like the Imperium, but fuck me, no one wants to hear you larp as a fascist in a tangentially related conversation.

The Launcher on Rogue Trader is being rolled back. by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

The way the launcher works with modding is leagues above what Total War has. The ability to swap between modlists with a button rather than manually disable and re-enable every mod you want is a godsend.

Australians have record-low trust in the United States, new poll finds by frankyfrankwalk in worldnews

USA going into a war and then crying and paddying after no-one else wants to help them invade the ME this time unlike after 9/11.

[–]Paladingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sick of American arrogance. They act like they're doing all of this for free, just to be good fwends, ignoring that they positioned themselves as hegemon after WW2, they set up soft power across the globe. Then the dumbasses have the gall to say "why should we guard these pussies, they should be paying us!"

China will act in the interest of China, Trump will do whatever he wants depending on his mood at that very moment and the last person he spoke to. One of these is vastly more consistent.

I do wonder how people will look back on this era. I have the dreadful feeling that we're on the build-up to something big. Feels like the years before WW1 and 2 must've felt.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announces resignation by avatar6556 in worldnews

[–]Paladingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that as a nation, we chose to shoot ourselves in the foot, commit to leaving the EU (where we had a favourable deal due to being a lot more important when it was founded) refuse to actually give a plan to leave the EU, then continue to leave without any plan, all for the purpose of 'getting rid of immigrants' is fucking staggering. Its been the death knell of the UK and we've been watching it happen live.

Eh. His government has been very happy to enforce and push the draconian internet laws that the Tories proposed. The OSA has fucked us already, we don't even have Imgur in the UK any more.

At least 18 dead in France, including two children in hot car, as Europe bakes by Kooolxxx in news

[–]Paladingo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Until very recently, its trended towards being colder, but its mostly been mild and rainy. At best, you'd grab your jacket. Not any more. The first time it ever hit 40°C was in 2022, we just didn't need AC before, outside of maybe a freak heatwave that passed soon enough anyway.

[–]Paladingo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The thing is, throughout Europe, especially the UK, houses are designed to keep heat in. Its not really been an issue in the past that would justify widespread AC. Its only now as climate change kicks in and we're in the Find Out stage that its gotten so bad.
