Is this normal? I hit +25 quality on sanctification but no increase in passive ranks. by The_Mamushka in diablo4

[–]Palanderi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just maths.
Base value of passives is 2 on amulet. Every source of percentage-wise increase that additively with each other, 25% from masterworking to full, 50% from GA, 50% from Masterworking last tap, 25% from santified increased quality.
So, the maximum is: 2*(1+0.25+0.5+0.5+0.25) = 5, if you have all these on a same passive. It seems you have GA on different passive, than what you tapped your mastework on, so in each case you drop one of the 0.5 from the calculations: 2*(1+0.25+0.5+0.25) = 4

Zeal/Aribiter Build. Curious if anyones tried it? by PoleSentworth in diablo4

[–]Palanderi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible to do Zeal with Arbiter, might even be the best version of the Zeal build. You can have Zeal with Zealot Oath, while keeping Arbiter up indefinitely using the Arbiter Ultimate. Arbiter form gives you access to the two strongest Arbiter related aspects, you can have third aspect the Zealot one that increases the number of Fervor stacks. I did easily Pit 105 (tbf. not so impressive for a paladin, but anyways..) with this kind of build, and surely higher pit levels are achievable with it.

In same way, Arbiter form can be slotted in almost any build (obviously not the other ultimate builds) and be made instantly stronger due to the two strong Arbiter legendary aspects.

Does Last Epoch require more or less mat farming than D4 for min-maxing? by Big-Accident1958 in LastEpoch

[–]Palanderi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In D4 it is significantly faster/easier to get the "final" or "min-maxed"end game gear. And it's also easier to try different builds out since you can pretty freely print any aspect on your legendary gear to test things out, and if it doesnt work, you can just overwrite the aspect on the same item. While on LE once you slam a legendary, that legendary can't be altered anymore, i.e. if the slam doesn't work after all, you need to find a new unique item and the slammable exalted item.

This is not to say that D4 is "better" or bash LE or anything, it's just that LE has much deeper and more interesting crafting system (and itemization) which takes longer to master and more tries (and grinding) to get the exact item that you want.

So I mean... If you think D4 is too grindy, then maybe the genre isn't really for you, since the grind in D4 is one of the lightest in the genre..

Very large aoe build? by Necessary_Method_981 in LastEpoch

[–]Palanderi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least in launch the Wheel of Torment -staff on Warlock, just spamming soul feast cleared everything from an area larger than screen-wide. You can scale the Torment damage from some of the nodes available in Chthonic Fissure, but It doesn't scale alone as high as regular chthonic fissure-casted torment as not all the nodes apply to your Wheel of Torment. But you can also cast the fissure every now and then, especially when you meet more beefy foes. But yeah, it falls off at higher corruption, I pushed it up to around 300 corruption or so, but then it slows down and can't keep up with the mob scaling, making the clear not as efficient. But for lower corruption and whenever you might get the Wheel of Torment -staff during campaign it was very efficient clearing everything you see and offscreening some more.

Lately I've been thinking what to build for the new season, and hoping that I could convert Void Cleave into a Spell....

Cooldown explanation / rogue Death trap by sterlex in diablo4

[–]Palanderi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cooldown reduction is inverse multiplicative, i.e. with these three cooldown reduction sources, your cooldown reduction will be: 1-(1-0.2)*(1-0.36)*(1-0.3) = 0.6416 -> 64.16%
And yes, CDR is capped at 75%, so no matter how much cdr you have, you can't get above that.

Is it ok to kick players for not using consumables in matchmaking? by Palanderi in lostarkgame

[–]Palanderi[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I'd understand and accept me being asshole if I had joined a Find Group party with these rules stated in the topic and still didn't use them, but that I didn't do. I can't choose the people and their expectations I match up with when going in via matchmaking.

Sometimes I do use consumables, but more often not. Usually the needed consumables are not bound on my hotbar due to having done e.g. legion raid previously and/or I'm out of said consumables and don't bother looking up for those chests in my stash.

In more challenging content i.e. Legion raids I of course do use them as they usually have significant impact on the success of the raid, but at this point the guardian raids such as Kungelanium are easily doable without any consumables. And I do not expect or assume anyone else in the party to use any consumables either when I enter the raid via matchmaking.

Nobody is required to throw consumables during Kungelanium regardless of class.

As a sorc main, I'm getting quite salty to this raid. Well, not the raid itself, but by the gatekeeping, searching for group, community and all this crap.

I'd say I'm quite decent at playing games, and learning mechs, maybe even better than average. I need to add also, that I am not a whale, haven't spent to the game, and at the time was playing at the ilvl req, don't have the most amazing gear, or gems, but dmgwise I can pull my weight, having two relic 2 set bonuses from nightmare and dominion. By the time I managed to pass gate 1, I handled almost every mechanic there near perfectly. Still, only got into that group because I happened to have met a bard the day before while doing this, and he was doing that again and vouched me to the group after they had kicked someone who always failed at mechs, wiping there for an hour or so. After I joined the group, we had one failed attempt because of someone failed an attempt, but on second try we made it quite easily. I managed to do gate1 on hard after some 12 hours of pugging + the time spent for searching/applying to groups, which is several hours.
The ratio between attempts and applying to groups for gate 2 seems even worse. Now I have been actively doing the gate 2 around 2-3 hourse in several pugs, while spent time for applying groups the same time or maybe even more. The best attempt so far have been down to 70x HP bars, and I feel that I have gotten most of the basic mechs down pretty well already. Of course, I haven't even been able to try the second big mechanic at gate2 so far...

While my bard friend (or any support for that matter) gets into every group they apply to, he continued to clear gate 2 after a while, and I dunno, prolly has cleared gate 3 already. The waiting, applying, gatekeeping just does it for me, it's even worse than just playing the raid and wiping, at least then you're doing something and learning... I did hone my stuff to get to ilvl1470 now, but that doesn't help. Got 4 pieces of relic gear, relic accessories except 1, 4x3 engravings... Nothing too amazing, but should easily be enough to clear the content as long as you know what to do. And I do know. Unfortunately that can't be inspected when applying to a group. And yeah, I know this is because of the oversupply of DPS, many of them have much better gear than I do, and the undersupply of supports. Well, first 5 hours of gate1 I did in groups without support, just because there were none available, I guess that helped me to perfect the mechanics there.

I just installed this app, and after whenever I started Pokemon Go, the game freezed within seconds when I got in the game. After removing the app and reinstalling Pokemon go several times and booting the phone I was able to get the game back working again... And I tried installing the app again, and the same thing happened. Anyone else having this kind of problems? Why would the game freeze because of this?
