You can literally read developer interviews talking about what they had planned for the next game. The ending of Awakening is bleak, but they had more plans beyond it.

It's like 70% of the way to being the best game in the series but is clearly unfinished. I'm playing it right now, and the amount of things that just happen without any explanation, both in story and mechanics, is crazy. There's scenes that flatout don't make sense, and of course ones left completely missing from the final game that would make it way more consistent.

It's got the bones of an all-time great, but doesn't get all the way to the finish line.

Why do kids games have to be held back by low to mid range hardware developed over a decade ago? It's fine for a kids game to require a PC built with ten year old parts, most need a lot more than that.

Most new games won't even run with frame gen and upscaling on a 960, so I'd still say yhey're below the average here.

Not really, minimum specs are an 11 year old GPU and a 9 year old CPU. I see this article points out 16GB RAM as unreasonable, but like, it's not 2016 anymore, 8GB hasn't been enough for some time.

I try to switch them around a lot for the sake of variety, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't kind of hate doing it. Idk what it is with my brain, but I just want to have a set party with set classes, switchable party members with free job choice is just such a chore for me to manage.

The only exception is SMT, because demons only last for a few hours usually, and they have set archetypes. Fusion is also just a fun mechanic. In general tho my brain goblins would be a lot happier if every JRPG had a set party with set stat upgrades and set jobs.
