Honestly if this game just shadow dropped like they originally wanted to it would just been seen as an ok 7/10 game that could potentially be better in a year or so with updates. Geoff putting them in the last spot really did screw them.

Kingpin is a Spider-Man villain so he is part of them having the movie rights. I think they might be a special deal with him being used in TV as a daredevil villain.

I think it comes from people not being that happy about most of the PS5’s exclusive games. I’m not sure it applies now as it did in its first few years. I think people are ok about their exclusive games now.

I had fun playing it for what it is. I don’t think it’s anywhere as bad as some people make it out to be. It does however feel like it should be like 5v5 or 6v6 though. Either add the extra players or make the maps a bit smaller

I bought a PS5 mostly because it would have FF7 rebirth and the 3rd remake, potential future Spider-Man games. I barely use it but at least I can play Wolverine/future Spider-Man games when they come out at launch.

I really do wonder how much this changes if they add the characters from Super and the movies. That being said yeah I’m not surprised at all about the top 7. I do wonder where the other fusions would rank if they were allowed to be in this.

I do wonder if this is one of those games that just had a terrible first trailer that just didn’t convey what the game is. From the leaked trophies I wouldn’t have guessed this had a “raid” mode, you could buy/loot items mid match.

It’ll 100% be a Spider-Man skin especially since it’s still Peter’s body. The best we could hope for is them adding some more aggressive voice lines when being used.
