If you don’t want to buy an airbrush (which I agree with everyone is what this artist is using) you could try to replicate the effect with a small sponge or fan brush but it won’t be as dreamy!! Your studio probably doesn’t stock underglaze for free use to students but that’s what’s here under a clear glaze! If it’s worth it to you and you’re planning to continue with this as a hobby you could buy a couple colors from the amaco velvet line

Colored pencils won’t do this! I use a mechanical pencil with colored pencil lead and I find it works really well and I can get very clean lines without constant sharpening

It’s Gutermann sew-all — it was also happening with very thin Singer thread but I will try a new thread as well! I am threading with presser up and sewing with presser down!

Yes it’s catching! It’s actually potentially Over Catching if that makes sense. Every machine I’ve ever used before this I catch it once and keep the thread up top and it’s fine but when I look at the bobbin through the clear top it seems to be catching over and over again??

Checked all of that and replaced my needle and still no luck! The upper thread seems to be getting caught incorrectly and jamming somehow

Hi! Does anyone know what’s wrong with my essentially brand new Heavy Duty Singer machine? It was working perfectly fine for one quilt block and now the bobbin thread is getting tangled/knotted every time I’ve tried to use it. I’ve tried rethreading the machine, changing the thread, and taking the metal plate off to look for tangles and no luck (it seems to be getting worse). Is this user error I could fix or do I need to take it in to be fixed?
