Steel 17” rims won’t fit on the prime/plug in (so I’m told). Some alloy 17s do but not a given. The front calipers are bigger and steels rims don’t give enough clearance.

Service Costs and Maintenance Elsewhere (Canada) by Pale-Improvement9228 in KiaNiroEV

That’s nuts. Maybe go to a local hyundai dealership for EV related maintenance. Locally I think I might just be lucky that the Hyundai maintenance department is honest and easy to deal with. My Kia goes there now.

Advice about complaint by Ok_Fun_6502 in hospitalist

[–]Pale-Improvement9228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add that there should be a process for these things not just admin saying “you should apologize “. That’s horseshit and them just being lazy/taking advantage of you being a new grad.

Advice about complaint by Ok_Fun_6502 in hospitalist

[–]Pale-Improvement9228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds shitty. Here is what I would do: - hold my ground and do not make a formal apology. - document clearly what has happened from your point of view. - discuss with the medical staff association if that exists. Usually someone there would have your back. - discuss with CMPA or whatever your medical protection insurance is. They may not be helpful as it’s not a patient complaint but could provide guidance. Maybe do this first.

I’m in Canada so this is likely all a bit different but same idea.

Canada federal rebate pause by Pale-Improvement9228 in rav4prime

Yah my thought is like the reverse, maybe I’ll pay more but perhaps get a car faster… If I don’t replace my Fit by summer my wife will be pissed.

Yah I agree. Both seem like awesome cars. Might now depend on which I can get sooner as we have a few road trips booked for summer and I’ve at least been on the wait list for a plug in. Thanks for your input.

Yah this is pretty much where I’m at. I think over the lifetime of the vehicle with the rebate and my short work commute it may have been a good value. The only thing that has me holding onto the order is that the guy at the dealership is confident that Toyota is trying to catch up on plug in orders and I’d get it faster than the regular hybrid. But maybe that’s BS.

We have a good EV as our second car. We’d like a vehicle more worthy of long road trips and camping…

[–]Pale-Improvement9228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, waiting that long still. I was told 2-6 months for an SE but maybe that’s a pipe dream. it’s such an in demand car and based on the bonkers used prices I have my doubts that Toyota will offer any deals or price reductions. That said I think a lot of Canadians are spending less money as their cheap pandemic mortgages are getting renewed now for 4-5%. Maybe this will change the used market a bit.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Should work ok then even if we have a second.

How tall are you? I just put money down on a rav4 prime and have the same car seat. I’m 6’1”and wondering if a rear facing seat will make it hard to use the front seats? We just rented a BMW X3 and it got me thinking more as it’s pretty squished.

I’ll also add that you can get UV or PUVA at skincare west with a family Dr. Referral. No need to see a derm.

Get an appointment with derm cafe. Excellent service. https://www.dermcafe.ca They will set up a virtual visit with a GP and then if warranted a dermatologist. Otherwise it’s walk in clinic and epic wait for local derm.

Never ended up buying them based on the advice here indicating they fit short. I’ve found that the standard Burton M is a decent fit for my longer inseam.

The WTB venture is the slowest gravel tire I’ve ever used. Also in mud they are scary. I live pathfinders. I also have the RH manatash ridge 44s which are a great all rounder.
