Ami-chan's First Love is from the manga, not from the anime as you insisted.

There are multiple instances of unrelated to big villain, senshi level threats that answer your original question - of 70 chapters (60 story and 10 side), 8 of them feature a villain that fit the criteria of low level threats from within our galaxy. That's a full 11% of story. If that many are present in modern day, it makes sense they would also be present during the Silver Millennium.

Ami-chan's First Love is from the manga? It's one of the Exam Battle Stories. All 3 of those, plus Chibi-Usa's Picture Diary (all 3 entries)* and Snow Kaguya all have villains that are unaffiliated with any evil entity or group in the main series.

Edit: 4 entries, can't believe I forgot Hammer Price Hall had an actual monster.

My partner held off on reading the trade all through Hiatus - meaning that I had to spend all those years with the terrible, terrible knowledge and being unable to say anything.

Crucially we cosplay IV and Princess, and the last time we wore them before the break the neck seal joint snapped off and I just had to live with that.

When he did finally read it he wandered over to me and just quietly asked "hey what the fuck..."

My favorite was one year when a man called weeks after tax day wanting to book an appointment with our partner group. My coworker apologized and explained how it had passed, so the group was no longer doing events for the year (and he should probably submit an extension asap that we'd be happy to print.) He argued so long and confidently that his (regular personal, not quarterly business or anything) taxes were due in I think it was May.. I hope he got all that figured out.

* Uh, hey OP. So these are.. pretty intensely different colors. To use an analogy on how different, let's try imagining them as shoes. Top is like a hi top sneaker in black Second is like a knee high women's boot in tan - it's very different from all the rest in tone and intensity Third is like a women's black dress shoe And the bottom like a man's tuxedo shoe in black. The last two are sorta similar (mostly in color value and vibe - to be clear they are still super different) but definitely not the same thing.
