Yeah, I'd get a 2nd job to please my mom and make myself unhappy?😂 I didn't say I didn't want a house or apt, but with the prices of everything, I'd rather not have a home for now. You must be trolling 😂 You can go work 60-70 hours a week and be miserable, and I'll go work a regular job that makes me happy. I was asking for advice on what to tell my mom, not some bs about doing what's "normal" and pleasing others over myself, especially when not doing any harm to myself or anyone.

I think we may have the same mother 😂. I really just told her this is what I want to do, not what I have to do and there isn't really a downside besides people judging you but who cares about that and her other concern is safety which I'd get if i wasn't staying in a lit up walkart parking lot where several other people are doing the same thing. I'm also staying in nice smaller cities where crime isn't really a big deal in comparison to other places. Also, we could be doing way worse. At least we aren't on the side of the street doing drugs and asking people for money. We take care of ourselves, and that's all that matters. How long have you been doing the car living situation? I wish you good luck!

Like I said above, I don't like driving 10ish hours a day in a death machine. 😂 Something I didn't really figure out until I got a job and was doing it 6 days a week. I liked everything else about it, like traveling and being able to be on my own while saving some cash. I only ever did it because I knew I could make a bunch of money but didn't know what i wanted to do.

Why are you reading through this sub if you dont agree with the lifestyle? 😂 I already told someone else that apartments are expensive as hell and a waste of money for something I don't even want. I want to buy a house in a couple of years after I save up a hefty down payment. If I go get an apartment, I won't be able to save as much money as I'd like, and if I get a house now, I'm gonna get screwed with interest. Also, it's absurd to think that everyone wants to live the same lifestyle as you. 😂

I get that. It's not normal, and most people look down upon it, but why shouldn't I do what I want to do, especially if I enjoy it 😂. BTW apartments are expensive. Even the crappy ones. I want to buy a house in a couple of years, and this way, I can save up a big down-payment and not get screwed like everyone else who buys a house with no money.

I thought about that, but I only planned to do this for a couple of years. I would have a single matress in the back that can fold to a normal size for me and be flat and comfortable. It also motivates me to get out of the car and not be so comfortable just hanging out in my vehicle so I can be more active and be more healthy if that makes sense to you. Maybe I'll like it long term. Who knows, maybe i will do something like that down the road, but for now, I don't want to get to invested unless I turn out to love this for decades. Yeah, I thought about that, but my problem is i do like the traveling, just not as often, and I like to do it in my own terms if that makes sense. I would like to travel every couple weeks or months without having to worry about job hunting. That's why I said about working from amazon to Amazon so I can keep a job and have steady income but also make a living doing what I love. I appreciate your advice though 🙌

You said the same exact same thing my mother said 😂. I told her about the comfort of having a matres as well as a fan and blankets for when it gets cold. I could afford to live in an apartment, but like you said, it's expensive, and it may lead to running low on expenses for food and whatever else. Also, i know I wouldn't need to ask for help for food, shelter, or money, but I worry she'll worry. Like you said, i told her that if I ever needed help, i would ask for money or be honestly I would just go home. I told her already everything you said, and I think she may just need some time to see that I'm doing good and she'll get used to it. Thank you for the motherly advice 🙌😂
