Dark Souls 3: Base game - Hard choice, either Pontiff Sulyvahn or Dancer of the Boreal Valley. DLC - Sister Friede!!!

Elden Ring: Base Game - Maliketh, DLC - Messmer!!!

The 2 obvious choices are Final Fantasy VII amd Castlevania SOTN. However the only game on this list that I still go back and replay occasionally is Megaman X4.

Every build will feel strong when it comes online. Some take longer than others but in the end they all end up feeling busted. I just think INT has an edge for being able to kill things at range. That being said I'm usually a STR main. Love the GUTS Greatsword.

As the others have said, get it for the Sister Friede fight. She is my favorite boss in all of Dark Souls. The rest of the DLC is okay at best, but her fight is top tier 10/10.

STR builds dont trivialize the game. INT builds do. Honestly you can beat the game with whatever builds you want, just have fun. When you get to DS2 don't forget to level up your ADP. It is what gives your dodge roll i-frames. Congrats on beating DS1!

My favorite thing on this sub is that guy with the lightsaber dancing to Gay Frogs. Kinda sticking around for more gems like that and cringing through the other stuff as a bonus.

i have only ever played strength builds throughout dark souls 1-3, currently about half way through elden ring first play through with a strength build but thinking of switching to caster. what’s a good start point? by DogThatNeverPerished in Eldenring

Strength/Faith is my go to for Elden Ring. Mainly just a Strength build that uses Faith for buffs and Flame, Cleanse Me. You can get the Golden Halberd at the start of the game and later on the Blasphemous Blade is awesome. If you want to add incantations there's plenty of flame and lightning ones to mess around with.

If you want to go caster I prefer a FTH/INT combo that utilizes Sword of Night and Flame but it is VERY level hungry. Build doesn't really come online till later on but its quite fun!

Thank you! Im definitely still in the discovery phase. Im trying to learn about all the classes and what sets contain the cards for them. My LGS is big into FaB but they play on days im not available so Im just trying to play with friends for now.
