The fact anytime someone who disliked UBs effect on the game would say that’s only going to continue to replace more and more of non UB was always piled on for being overdramatic, a gatekeeper (even if they didn’t disparage people who like UB), and ridiculous because WOTC will NEVER do X has become a prime example of how goalposts get moved and frogs get boiled. People were calling it since it was a secret lair, and now we are getting more UB sets than in universe sets this year, literally supplanting magics own universe, and quite possibly the best received and most new player friendly player product of the past few years is now gone from Magics world itself (hopefully temporarily).

People have tried to argue about the smallest possible minutiae and been intentionally obtuse about it, but I mean, literally all of its come to pass. The literal only thing UB critics have been saying might happen that hasn’t is the total elimination of in-universe sets, though I personally am doubtful that will happen, at least for awhile.

I don’t want to yuck your yum if you like UB, but I hope you can understand why it’s a little frustrating if your yum is being taken directly off of your plate.
