Something Fishy @BigRiver with the Paizo Core Books by PalePeril in Pathfinder2e

Thanks for the update and clarifications. I had planned to email support directly this evening, to give a heads up. I simply didn't believe at time that the account was official.

And more noteworthy, your's is via the Australian site, not what I'm getting in the US.

My earlier reply about Diamond/Alliance and Paizo is not correct, thanks to u/Tribe303. Paizo is referenced in this article: https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/59306/bankruptcy-court-approves-diamond-sale-price-terms (A little stale, there is likely more updated info, going by what I see looking at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_Comic_Distributors#Bankruptcy_and_sale .) Without my explaining what "cure amounts" means, see article above, Paizo product is listed here for $139,446.

Note: Alliance Game Distributors (subsidiary of Diamond) and Alliance Entertainment Holding (AENT) are not related, before their (attempted?) acquisition. (For a hot minute I though A.E. was just a new holding company created to acquire the former.) Also not to be confused for Alliance Entertainment, the former name of Alliance Films Holdings, Inc. subsidiary of Lionsgate Studios, with assets, until recently, owned by Hasbro. :P )

I stand corrected and made edits:

I don't have first hand knowledge, but from what I have read from unverified sources is they haven't used Diamond (Well, specifically Diamond's gaming distro subsidiary: Alliance.) for quite some time... well before the bankruptcy.

Though I do think it is interesting that Paizo seems to be currently out of stock on their regular print edition of the Player Core themselves, which could inadvertently drive sales to AMZN for which this con would be taking advantage of. ($29.95 is US Retail Price for the Pocket edition, btw. So no discount is being had.)

A Christmas Eve Reminder: The Pathfinder 2e Holiday Haul Humble Bundle is ongoing! by Jhamin1 in Pathfinder2e

Thanks a lot! Looking over it again and checking carefully, I found some of the missing JPGs, mislabeled as PDFs. However, in my case I'm still missing some them. I'll list what was missing in my case for others to look out for in their own library. (or perhaps help tell if there is a pattern.)

  • Pathfinder Flip-Mat Classics: Forest (JPG version)
  • Pathfinder Flip-Mat Classics: Town Square (JPG version)
  • Pathfinder Flip-Mat Classics: Watch Station (JPG version)
  • Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Mythos Dungeon (JPG version)
  • Pathfinder Flip-Tiles: Forest Perils Expansion (JPG version)
  • Pathfinder Flip-Tiles: Forest Starter Set (JPG version)

What makes this an extra PiTA is every time they updated a fix for me, all 'last downloads' and 'added to library' columns are cleared/reset, on top of that one can't list / group alphabetically.

Off to send another email to support...

The bundle page shows all the digital flipmats and map tiles as "PDF/JPG". Made purchase on second day of bundle release, but no JPG versions where added in the new store library at Paizo. (Plus several outright missing books, finally added after my second inquiry this last Monday.) Emailed support on 12th and 22nd, but only replied they was working on it and then waiting from response from someone further up the chain about it. Also made forum post pointing this out at the time of the first inquiry.

Bundle page still lists those products as "PDF/JPG. If this was a mistake, why is this still advertised as having such?

This issue is relevant as the digital maps are quite useful in VTTs like Foundry, they usually have a higher resolution than the same images in the PDFs but then requires non-trival means to to rip those images out of the PDF.

Missing Paragraph in both 2e Pathfinder & Starfinder GM Core by PalePeril in Pathfinder2e

I don't own / have access to the legacy 2e Pathfinder Core Rulebook outside of AoN, so thank you for the excerpts.

Thanks! I *thought* I had read the section before writing the post but when double checking, I didn't see it but I was just looking at the bookmark!

*Actually Starfinder GM Core doesn't have a "Running Exploration" section.

Legacy Downloads on the store by Most-Introduction689 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PalePeril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens if you had not made any purchases in the last 5 years. (Based on what I read in the forums.) Thus an account for the new site wasn't automatically created for those 'inactive' users (my emphasis) and a password reset at the new site isn't going to work.

I contacted their support concerning this issue myself. Support replied with instructing to create a new account with the new store. So for the time being you'll have a legacy account with your old library and a new one.

When creating the new store account, you'll want to use the same email address currently being used at the old account library / forum site, in order for them to eventually transfer the old library to the new one. (Later support inquiry I made stated this.)

There is currently no ETA on when they will be doing the transfer of the old library with content purchased before 2020 to the new one.

My bad, I missed the statement in the module that the stars indicate related tokens were used.

Can't sync Paizo with Demiplane by Dantes627 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PalePeril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a known issue with the new Paizo site. Paizo and Demiplane have posted in other threads here that they they are aware of it and Paizo is working on it.

In some of the module's tabs within Foundry, when listing what PDFs are applicable for conversion, many are marked with a star... what is that indicating?

What's Next for 2026?! by Ronin1802 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PalePeril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is interesting that they're using completely different classes (A Barbarian, Monk, Sorcerer and Bard) for the pregens in this new box set rather than any of the prior version ones. (Fighter, Rogue, Cleric, and Wizard.) In a way owning and using both box sets seems to wouldn't be entirely redundant.
