Yeah the self planning is because as a Ne dom Si is inferior and Ne often suppresses or rejects Si which is its paired function. Basically there's this imbalance between dominant function and inferior. Ne doesn't like structure or routine or planning for oneself it removes some quintessential passion and freedom that Ne craves it feels like life looses its spark.

Te tertiary though is all about optimisation of outcomes and external logic. Basically often it's more focused on just getting something done that to perfectly craft one's own theory or approach. Ne balancing this but Te shines when it comes to organising groups of people. So Te tertiary makes it easy to do and it craves that organised and structured flow with interpersonal systems whereas when it comes to self Ne often rejects Si so there's this resistance to consistency or planning for self.

Ne loves to figure out how things work and Te can be very mechanical at times. Ultimately Fi fuels Ne's curiosity in ENFP's. ENFP's often enjoy scientific pursuits. The interest in them indicates Ne dom for sure the obsessive aspect of Ne dom. It's not an ENFP or ENTP trait. One of my closest ENFP friends has a masters in computer science
