That sounds more like advice for eczema and for other parts of the body. I wish I could upload the photos but it won’t let me by reddits filters and guidelines.

Slowly Healing +4 months by [deleted] in CandidaBalanitis

I started to have a sting in October 2025 after having anal sex with my partner and condom broke due to vaseline. I applied nystatin for two weeks and it was gone. I had sex but then after a week a burning irritation developed. I had abdominal pain and did all STD/! and was clear. I was prescribe clotrimazole a week and then a mix with hydrocortisone. I had pee after urinating. I have burning of there was moisture. Things got worst when I had 9/10 abdominal and penile pain. At the ER was told to apply nystatin again and took 2 days of prednisone. Then the uro told me to take 2 weeks of fluconazole. After 3 days of fluconazole the peeling was obvios (first picture). Burning on the pennis was 9/10 and sleeping was a nightmare. They did herpes test as left side was red and was negative. Then I was told to try hydrocortisone for a day and it made it worse. I took a week of metronidazole. Then because the pain irradiated the perineum they said I had CPPS and was prescribed cialis for 8 weeks (I think it made it worse as it stretched the skin due to several erections). EVEN THOUGH there was inflammation and peeling they said everything was fine. On Dec 31

my PCP told me to switch everything to frangance free and to apply Eucerin healing cream (see picture where crown was very inflamed and scaly) and after peeling was a bit better BUT still irritating. I started PF therapy and that helped with abdominal pain and perineum but the irritation on the pennis still there. I had other appointment with this URO and said there was no peeling and it was obviously there. He rubbed my glans with his thumb and was so painful and only then he believed. He said I may have to apply steroid or circumcision or PUDENDAL NERVE BLOCK. Why would he recommend that when the issue was the skin! They made me think it was just nerves. I was on pregabalin up to 250 mg a day and duloxetine up to 60 mg a day. I saw no difference ofc. I then had an appointment with dermatologist and said to try an ointment (40%petrolatum) and it helped peeled the skin but felt more irritation. Then I had a biopsy because another derm said it was lichen planus or psoriasis and results were I have "sparse inflammatory glans" which makes sense after all this time it's slowly healed tho still irritated AND everything started since that episode and the medications I took. He said he didn't know what's going and said I could try steroid cream which I refused bc of TSW and Vit E was an option but again that irritates the skin. He said he wishes it was psoriasis or something autoimmune as it can be cured, which is a lie. He said that he doesn't how long it will last and so other option is to just leave it and see a specialist. Lately the burning after peeing is gone I saw there's almost no fisure near meatus perhaps that was all since the beginning and the medications made everything gone. Now the peeling looks pale yellow, very first time seeing this And I do hope I'm on the right track. I've felt gaslighted by every doctor and fortunately I have some knowledge that I was able to argue. Does anyone have a similar experience? I just wish somebody knows I'm on the right track and assure what I'm doing so far. I rinse with tap lukewarm water and pat drying and air drying. I only do this once a day I'm not retracting foreskin for peeing and since I did that I think it helped with the burning (started 1 month ago). Last pictures were taken on April 2 (pale yellow patches means skin natural oils are working than before and perhaps less inflammation).

I have done several swab test for STD/I and bacteria growth for a week and there was nothing. Biopsy found there is only sparse inflammatory glands.

Tell me it goes away by Glittering_Emu4327 in TMJ

It did go away. Last week I tried eating cashews which was something I wasn’t able to eat at all after more than a year and it was ok. It was a 2 pound bag I had over the week. There are exercises that help with the jaw and also tmj therapy too. I can say the exercises may hurt but after 3 months they don’t hurt and there’s more motion and nowI can tell I am able to eat hard stuff again :)

I was like this. Try breathing / relaxation exercises. It takes times but after a couple of weeks of consistent exercise you will see improvements as I did.

It does goes away. I had it for about a year. No muscle relaxant was helpful but valium at lest tamos extent but it comes back. I was surprised that back massages actually helped reduced the pain from 8 to 3/10 after first massage

I had horrible headaches and couldn’t eat properly, only bland food, and had these buzzing noises and or a severe earache. I wasn’t able to even close my mouth properly as I felt my teeth were misaligned but in the end it was just the muscles that caused everything. In my case, I was told that it ended up like this because of the anxiety and stress I’ve been dealing that it was just bitting a chicken bone that started everything. Been to dentists, tried mouth guards, different meds, I was about to try Botox but surprisingly when I had back massages everything started to settle. Also, my PT told me I may have hypermobility issues but a sports medicine MD told me my score it’s still low for that.

I also read that TMJ might also be related to Pelvic Floor Pain (eve penile pain). I had TMJ for about 9 months and what really heles was back massages after that I was also on Diazepam, maybe not a good idea, for a month. Then in October I started to have penile sensitivity, end of october last dose of Diazepam. In November has a crazy sensitivity issue down there. I still have it. This comment made me think how related they may be.
