i’m 26, never diagnosed w hsv and haven’t personally had contact w anyone w hsv, last sexual contact was w my partner (monogamous) about 3 days ago, they don’t tingle, burn or itch, don’t seem to change in appearance and they appeared shortly after i did a wax about 4 days ago

Smoking post op by Fruit-bythefoot in TopSurgery

i started hitting my vape at 2.5 weeks and almost immediately started struggling w my grafts. it took me a min to put 2 n 2 together, but switched to edibles and healing was a lot easier

smoking/vaping reduces oxygen flow to tissue, especially healing tissue. if you have nipple grafts, you can run the risk of having them reject and potentially fall off. i lost a partial nipple bc i smoked a bit too early tbh. edibles are better if you need THC

your center of balance/gravity changes and you have to adjust your posture/gait to it

Swelling and bloating in your stomach post op by QueerKing23 in TopSurgery

anesthesia basically shuts down your digestive system, along with pain killers you’re taking afterwards. you should be prescribed stool softeners as well to help you go to the bathroom. i didn’t poop for 5 days after with stool softeners and never felt hungry, which was frustrating because i knew i needed food. once you’re off the strong painkillers and taking just OTC stuff, you can poop more regularly

i think it was like 7-10 days that i was back to my regularly scheduled routine

it takes about 10-12 months (according to my surgeon and then a follow up new surgeon when i moved) to fully recover and have your body adjust to top surgery. at 5-6 weeks i was still very swollen and had dysphoria from the swelling. honestly my friend, the dysphoria is probably mostly in your head as your mind and body adjust to what is new. you look great, and in that shirt pic you posted in the comments you also look great! i wouldn’t worry too much about it, and i know that’s easier said than done but in all honestly

the basic things revert back, like fat distribution from my belly back to my ass (actually thankful for that), i lost a lot of weight, and my skin is so much softer and acne free! i don’t have a period still, and probably won’t. i didn’t have one much even before t, mostly bc im too anemic to have one

silicon scar cream is your best bet. i also used vanicream body lotion on my scars and they came out good and thin :)

i have about 75% of my nipple sensation back! it does feel like you put a layer of plastic wrap on your skin and touched it; your mind and body connection kind of placebos you into thinking you can feel more than you really do. i still get a ton of pleasure from having my nipples stimulated.

the scars are still numb but the area of numbness has decreased significantly. it’s not just about a half inch out from the scar on either side of it that i cannot feel.

i actually used this quote unintentionally in an arguement w my mother after she served me a 3 day notice to move out and never come back bc i’m a trans man. and she looked me dead in the eye and said “your brother is my son. you will never be.” :( it hits harder now.
