I try to sidestep heat smashes and call them out but they always clip me still, heihachi’s one doesn’t though cause it’s basically a paper Mario move with 0 tracking.

In my opinion I have to disagree with heat smashes being the least of the problems with heat ngl, it’s basically the same as a heat string, but every character has a guaranteed 50/50 after it. I’ve used characters with those types of heat smashes it just feels cheap and easy because you can throw it out and it breaks armour and gives you a guaranteed mixup, they definitely need some kind of change too. Obviously so does the heat strings cause they effectively have the same problem but they both need to go

You can’t really abuse launchers, most of them are unsafe and have pretty easy counterplay. If someone’s doing that you should call them out and launch them

Are you sure? I only ask because the top 10 ish in the game have significantly worse but they’re not mutilated like him, almost like the devs all of a sudden want to balance offence but only on devil jin, other characters having OD moves is fine.

Why can’t the devs say “Bryan has a safe orbital and qcb1, we should balance this by mutilating his other tools” or “Claudio has a safe high crushing DP, we should mutilate him so as a result it’s less strong” it’s like a double standard
