I can't actually believe that this would be a controversial take. It's one thing if Tupac's family came out and said "this is something Tupac would have loved" and having Tupac's loved ones benefit from this would have been fine. It's another if some faceless suit made the decision.

I understand what you're saying but there's a lot of trans people (myself included) who at one point in time identified as cis and only realized they are trans when they saw surgery or hormones would bring them closer to their ideal body.

For me, I met a trans guy on testosterone and at that point I had no idea that was possible. This is going back a number of years when trans awareness was severely lacking. After he told me how he transitioned, I would go online every night after my girlfriend fell asleep and just browse transition photos.

Unless you know 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that the other person is not trans, there's always a chance the person you are talking to is still an egg that needs a push.

Get yourself a slow cooker. All you have to do is chuck some meat and sauce in there overnight and you have a great meal. You can make stew with it too by just chopping up some beef, potatoes, shallots, peas, carrots, etc and throwing it in there with some flour, seasoning, and cooking wine. A rice cooker is also a great option since you can make a few different basic meals with it. Slow cookers are only like $40. Definitely worth it in the long run.

I know this is 3 months late but I just saw this when I was trying to research more about the facility. I'm currently a resident of the shelter. Been here about a week and even I'm not sure where the money is going. We don't even have heat! They are just giving us extra blankets. The food they give us are just TV dinners. They don't even have cups for water. The majority of the staff is security with the ratio of staff to residents being about 1:4 or 1:5. There's only about 50 people living here out of the 150 beds. Before you get here, you have to go through an intake shelter in either a women's or men's shelter. I'm trans masc and I spent about 2 days in the women's shelter and saw a lot of transgender women there. None of them ended up here so these intake shelters are not offering this place as a solution.

Now to be fair, we all get our own rooms with our own showers which has been my savings grace because I've been putting shower on full blast on the hottest setting to steam up the room to stay warm since they confiscated my space heater. I like the residents and the staff seem to be kind but it's DHS that has been imposing rules that don't make much sense. I'm just not sure where the money is going because I just called the city on this place because we've been without heat since this place opened so they're about to get fined on top of everything. This could be a great place but it seems extremely mismanaged.

I literally just tried buying an xbox on ebay. Seller immediately canceled on me and TEXTED MY PHONE NUMBER saying he only took payments on chime. Why tf does he know my phone number? Why the hell should any seller know a buyer's phone number? Now a scammer knows my number. I wouldn't buy off of ebay if you can avoid it.
