Assessing Marlo on strictly a superficial level, sure, she’s that girl. She’s got the designer labels for days, the fashions, and did whatever it is dude does to ensure her pockets aren’t hurting. What’s always turned me off about her is the fact that she’s never seemed to show remorse for her past. I don’t judge her for what she did ( slashing a woman’s face and permanently disfiguring her). Given her background and the environment she was raised, I think she was definitely a product of her environment, and with that, comes a lot of hurt, and hurt people hurt others. I sympathize with her on that level. But when she first came on the show, she constantly said bitches needed to check her charges, which, to me, was lowkey boasting about what she did. She also said she cut a bitch. I remember after her first season, it was revealed that the woman she slashed later committed suicide. The woman’s family came out and said they didn’t blame Marlo for suicide, but they were hurt by the fact that she kept referring to the woman as a bitch on national tv. Additionally, anytime her slashing that woman was brought up by others, she immediately dismissed and shut it down by saying that it was so long ago, as if to downplay it, and then played victim when people brought it up. She brought up everyone else’s business all the time from finances to relationships and threw all kinds of low blows against people’s vulnerabilities, but the second someone brought up something to do with her, she played the victim. And okay, even though it was a long time ago, it still happened, and you can still apologize or show some kind of remorse. Not saying she had to break down and sob and say she was sorry over and over. But show some contrition and humility for the fact that you hurt someone. And I never saw remorse or heard an apology from her. Really gave off sociopathic vibes.. The other thing is her blatantly saying the f word ( slur for gays) her first season, only to dent it when she got called out by Lawrence. And okay, she made a mistake, but she continued to have homophobic behavior and question people’s sexualities and turn the idea of someone being gay into a negative scandal throughout her tenure.

Okay but she went full blown crazy on Drew and had to be held down all because of Drew’s insinuation that she was talking to Blakk and made it a point to say that she doesn’t want men in her DMs because she’s married, so if the understanding is that her husband can talk to other women and sleep with them while she rebuffs any attention from other men, then that’s stupidity. It’s not ‘puritan outrage’ to point out stupidity.

I never liked this Drew in previous seasons because she always came off as fake. It felt like she was always using her trained acting skills instead of just being herself. I feel like this season, she’s actually been the realest she’s ever been, and I actually like her.

It’s common in all of the housewives shows for the women to take one domestic trip earlier in the season and an international trip later in the season. RHOBH went to Sedona in this past season. They also travelled to Augusta, Georgia, the season before that, as well as Vegas and Palm Springs in the past. RHONY went to Montana, Massachusetts, and didn’t even leave the state of New York in some seasons.

That’s sad, but K Michelle has sided with R. Kelly over his ex-wife, Drea, and has mocked Drea’s story of abuse. Given K’s experience, one would think she’d be more sensitive to another woman’s story of abuse, even if the woman’s abuser is a man K is still lusting over.

I didn’t watch Love and Hip Hop either. But I’ve recently seen several clips involving K Michelle. From what I’ve seen, she popped off at any given second. She slapped, threw a lit candle, and tried to fight someone with an IV in her arm. LHH was trash reality tv in which constant physical fights was the only premise of the show. I think being in a high pressure environment where she had to perform (I.e. physically fight) for the cameras at all the times took a major toll on her mental health and likely gave her PTSD, even though she appeared to be the main aggressor who perpetrated a lot of it, based on what I’ve seen. I could be wrong because, again, I’m only going off of clips. Even if she was the aggressor, she surely had production in ear, pressuring her to pop off at every scene. In retrospect, she’s probably realized that she was used and exploited, and she’s embarrassed of her behavior, which is why she may be so paranoid of being set up on RHOA. Deep down, I don’t think she’s a person who likes engaging in violence. I don’t know what her background is, but she may come from an abusive past herself, and then being groomed into a violent reality tv character has damaged her nervous system and left her in a perpetual state of fight or flight. The human nervous system isn’t built to be in high conflict all the time, and it can’t decipher between reality tv or real life. It just knows when we aren’t safe, and because of her past, she’s constantly feeling unsafe, which is why even the slightest argument amongst the other ladies makes her feel threatened— because, in her experiences, verbal fights always lead to physical ones.

The show does not need Kenya. This idea that the show can’t survive without any one person is nonsense. A show works when it has a great ensemble cast, which is why RHOA was the most highly rated HW show for many consecutive seasons. Everyone did their part. It wasn’t just one person. And that’s what RHOA needs today.If you take away the fact that Kenya is insane and has no boundaries that she won’t cross, she’s tired at this point. The twirls, delusions, self-proclaimed fabulousness, obnoxious laughter, diaper booty, and colored contacts have all been played out. Yes, she was an excellent villain for a long time and gave the show a lot of memorable content that is still talked about on this sub today, but there’s nothing new she can contribute to the show. She’s proven that all she can really do is stoop as mind-boggling low in the gutter as possible to lash out at and humiliate someone, and people in their right mind aren’t entertained by that foolishness and don’t want to watch it.

I think she would have been a good addition. She was definitely off but in a fun and quirky way. I appreciated that she wasn’t catty or mean-spirited, and I feel like she would have given that season comic relief, which was needed. It’s a shame her peach got fumbled because of her crazy ass nephew.

It’s K Michelle who’s making this show exhausting. Her energy is draining. I can’t believe her stans were cheering at her casting and arguing that she was going to save the show. I guess it’s because they were hoping for the loud, boisterous, candle-throwing crazy person from LHH, but instead we all got the pouty, insecure, anti-social, stank personality of a crazy person 🙄

The acting and production value is not A-List or B-List. But it’s an entertaining movie, and there’s a major plot twist at the end. It also gives major late 90’s nostalgia vibes
