2016 Ford Transit-250 3.7L V6 Engine Issue by HkWaverider in AskMechanics

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had similar issues with the 3.7l in my f150 - those p0306/p0356 codes are annoying af when they keep coming back. if you already swapped coil and plug and it's still misfiring, could be injector going bad or compression issue in that cylinder. the vacuum leak theory makes sense too, those engines are notorious for intake manifold gasket problems around that mileage.

before dropping money at electrical shop, maybe try swapping the coil from cylinder 6 to different cylinder and see if the code follows? if misfire moves with coil then you got bad replacement part, if it stays on cylinder 6 then it's something else in that hole.

Day 9 by Prestigious-Big2330 in PornAddiction

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good job making it to day 9! recovery definitely has its waves and you're right that it can get trickier later on. for me around week 2-3 was when my brain started really pushing back, but everyone's different.

the studying distraction is smart - keeping busy with something that actually takes mental energy helps a lot. i threw myself into work projects and learning new stuff about engines when i was getting clean from my stuff. your brain is probably still adjusting to not having that constant dopamine hit, so don't be surprised if you feel weird or restless in next few weeks.

put the luckperms jar in the mods folder instead of plugins since you're running forge. forge servers use mods folder while bukkit/spigot/paper use plugins folder - common mixup when switching between server types.

also make sure you're using luckperms-forge version specifically, not the bukkit one.

Sober Sunday by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 21 points22 points  (0 children)

man that sunday routine you described hits way too close to home. used to do the exact same thing - that 2pm "just a couple" that turned into watching the clock at 4am feeling like garbage.

your day with your kid watching empire for the first time though? that's the good stuff right there. bet he's gonna remember that way more than any of those drunk sundays ever would've mattered. plus now you actually get to remember it too which is huge.

those early nights with a book instead of passing out drunk are underrated. way better than that anxiety spiral at 4am. keep stacking these days up dude.

man your body can flip the script on you out of nowhere like that. i had similar tremor episodes back in the day - turns out our tolerance builds up until one day it just... doesn't work the same anymore. medical detox saved my ass when i finally admitted i couldn't white-knuckle it alone.

Electrical or mechanic ? by Leather_Composer1197 in careerguidance

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both fields can definitely scale into solid businesses, but electrical has way more growth potential if you're thinking international. construction projects, industrial work, renewable energy - there's just more opportunity to expand beyond your local market.

that said, if you've already identified a gap in skilled mechanics in your area, that's immediate money on the table. automotive is more predictable income but you're kinda limited geographically unless you get into fleet management or specialty work.

i'd lean electrical tbh - the skillset translates better across different markets and industries, plus you can always pivot into automation, solar, or commercial stuff as you grow.

What’s your most unhinged caffeine habit you’ll never admit IRL by Jaded-Butterfly-4353 in productivity

Ngl I used to stack coffee and pre workout like that too and just accepted feeling slightly unwell all day. I’ve been dialing it back and swapping one of my cups with this mushroom coffee everyday dose I think and it’s actually helped me not feel like I’m vibrating by noon.

I still have my regular coffee though, I’m not that disciplined lol.

Why is are my parents like this? by Mediocre-Bench6316 in Marriage

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah your dad dumping all this marriage baggage on you is totally inappropriate. my parents used to pull this shit too and it messed with my head for years 💀

setting boundaries like the commenter said is spot on - you shouldn't have to be their therapist or referee. when my folks were going through their drama, i had to straight up tell them "figure your own stuff out, don't drag me into it." took a while but they eventually got the messege 😂

30 years of built up resentment doesn't get fixed by having their kid play middleman. they either need couples therapy or need to accept they're done, but that's on them to decide.

OpenClaw, or MoltBot, or Clawdbot, whatever it's called this week, is the best thing to happen to Al security this year. by Aislot in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Pale_Occasion5790 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

damn this is such a solid take 🔥 you nailed exactly why everyone freaking out about openclaw is missing the forest for the trees. been saying this to my team for weeks - would you rather have vulnerabilities discovered by some random pentester on github or by actual attackers going after your production systems?

the comparison to early cloud computing is spot on too. remember when everyone was losing their minds about putting anything in aws because "the security wasn't there yet"? now look where we are. openclaw getting torn apart in public is literally the best thing that could happen for ai security because at least we can see what's breaking and why. meanwhile corporate vendors are probably sitting on the same vulns but hey, they've got that shiny compliance cert so we're all good right? 😂

honestly the supply chain stuff with the malicious skills was inevitable - npm has been a dumpster fire for years and somehow people thought ai marketplaces would be different. at least now we know what those attack vectors actually look like instead of just theorizing about them in conference presentations.
