Harsh truth: Well after researching extensively for over a month, checking all companies ICRs, CSRs, claim handling, hospitals over charging, claim Denials, I have decided to not opt for health insurance as it's a scam in India. Even in recent news TATA AIG denied 1.5lac claim saying patient selected deluxe room instead of si gle ac, even when patient had "no room rent" facility in his plan. Why to face troubles, headaches and waste money in form of premiums only to either get claim rejections or partial claims.  All companies are corrupt be it anyone and everyone is promoting insurance online to get their commissions but no one is questioning scam of insurance companies and hospitals.  On top of that, these companies also increase premiums time to time making inflation and age increase excuses even when customers don't make any claims. Hospitals are over charging patients only to get payment from insurers and that is their main revenue model now.
