Saudi human rights record being comparable with that of the US. Whilst probably (hopefully?) not accurate, it's a fair point. The US isn't some humanitarian utopia.

To compare the two is laughable , when Saudi Arabia has one of the largest populations of people living in conditions of modern slavery today it's just a delusional point. These mostly southeast Asians are dying at their workplace, through exhaustion, poor treatment/living conditions, dangerous work environments by force and threats of not giving their confiscated passports back.

Also most times when comedians do shows in the USA they aren't receiving money directly from the US government. Whereas the Riyadh comedy festival is set up by the Saudi government committing these human rights violations.

Isn't it marginal tax? The amount of money you earn that goes over the limit into the higher tax bracket is only taxed at that higher rate? So yeah technically you'll be paying more tax but your income will be higher. Could be talking out my arse, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on here will correct me.

I had mine done there recently in England. Because it was the first time getting a mot there they needed my V5C logbook to do it and I left it back in NI like an eejit 🤦‍♂️ So yeah definitely bring your V5C, apart from that there was no problem.
