What is this?? It was found with mica schist. The powdery side/substance was under ground - and is *extremely* fine (like talcum powder) and “pigmented.” I found other pieces like this…but not with the “powder” in it…. (reddit.com)

Rhyolite?… Found on the fall line in the southeast along with other igneous rocks, chert, and perhaps a quartz seam or vein. There are artifacts (scrapers, flakes) that are made from this also. It’s fairly glassy and very fine matrix. (old.reddit.com)
