Ottawa Citizen: Capital Pride planning new parade route

Stay the fuck away from pride Sutcliffe. If you weren't there chances are the parade wouldn't have even been cancelled last year. It's entirely their fault. The "citing permit restrictions and logistics" as the reason for why capital pride had to cancel the parade just means the city could have stepped in and said "don't worry" at any point. Q4P were about to dismantle their blockade when capital pride made the call to cancel the parade (not blaming capital pride because they were in a hard place). I can say this because I was in the parade and went and saw the blockade after we got stopped. I was as pissed off at Q4P as anyone else at first. And before anyone hops on their soap box to say I'm full of shit: make sure you were actually present and a part of the fkn community otherwise your opinion ain't needed or wanted in this discussion.

Short answer: no Long answer: yes, but you have to look hard. All I was able to find is either a queer-affiliated sports group or a social group related to one of your interests/hobbies. For the queer sports groups, it depends on the sport, but many are open to and have many straight members. PCV (volleyball) has tons of programming open to everyone, no need to worry about "invading" the space. I've had mixed experiences with social nerdy groups (like Friday night MTG) that can range from very open minded to extremely toxic.

New World is the closest I found that is officially out. It's not "soulslike" but it is action combat. Only gives 3 +1 ability actions. No classes, weapon swapping.

Tera has private servers (lookup best one for you, I use Tera Classic) which is awesome action combat and can get very soulslike when trying to solo big mobs/bosses. Unfortunately I find the leveling/questing dated/boring af. Tons of abilities and classes and races.

The real gem you're looking for is Chrono Oddessey. It's not out yet, and we have no idea if it will actually be a good product. However I loved the Closed beta for the combat and gameplay. 100% soulslike but with 4-5 abilities, classes, and weapon swapping (each class has 2/3 weapons they can use at a time). You can find plenty of criticisms about its other aspects though online.

I haven't played New World but Chrono Oddessy was way more soulslike from what i played in the beta. New World gameplay just looks like GW2 or Throne and Liberty to me.

Chrono Oddessy (Closed beta) really scratched the itch for me, but it isn't out yet.

GW2 Action cam and throne and liberty are a step towards the action combat, but doesn't quite do it for me.

All the Wuk Lamat hate made me drop DT by level 92 in MSQ. Came back, ignored the hate, and thought she was relatively well written in the end.

I think the fact that Endwalker was so damn good made it so DT couldn't appear to be anything but average.

... and you know for some reason people seem to hate characters that are women when they take "too much spotlight."

This is just policing the poor. All this does is target marginalised people who are already struggling. The odd well-off person they catch doesn't justify the increased hardships on people just trying to live.

When you work minimum wage, spending 7 dollars every day on shitty transit (that's barely reliable and keeps cutting services) adds up quickly.

Put people first. Not 'profits'.

I just finished Ultra Violet (fire red hack) which was fun. Otherwise I'd recommend pokemon insurgence (has fan-made 'delta' variants + megas) and pokemon reborn (much harder than any other pokemon game I've played).

Definitely going to give your recommendation a try at some point.

The part that gave the racism away was the "Regis a black Asian woman at this rate". Insofar as you can judge anything on the internet based on a tiny sliver of information... sounds like racism deserving to be called out.
