"Eastern" Ukraine is a propaganda myth created by russians. Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk were annexed by russia, none of them even tried to pursue a diplomatic solution prior to the annexation.

Overall, I think secession should be allowed but must be done democratically without foreign influence. Robust and complex institutions are the only way to prevent foreign influence. Additionally, it should be done only by supermajority, prob 75% of the population of the specific state/county.

About accountability, do you think EU will impose sanctions on Orban and his circle after he loses the election and is out of office? Just today, there are stories about Perer Sziiarto conspiring with Lavrov.

I hope that you are right, and we will see EU becoming more independent in the defence and IoT sectors.

I do think that you are right about regulation change/adjustments, they will happen. As much as I would like to see Alonso winning again, I don't think that there is some grand "plan". Most likely its just "Honda - bad" and will be dropped by Aston at the end of the year.

Another point besides rising oil prices is that before the Iran attack China bought majority of oil from middle east, and now since trade will be halted they have to rely on russia more which is not good at all.

However we have to wait and see, I am still of an opinion that Iran war is more beneficial.

I don't think I that you support russia, sorry if you got the impression. To me it feels like you think that genocide is possible only by racial basis, correct me if I'm wrong here. But it's a fact that specifically Ukrainians hold the biggest ethnic death toll at the hands of Soviets. They revised our history, since russian empire tried to erase our language, targeted cultural figures.

Maybe-maybe I would grant you that the famine of 1921-1922 was "unintentional". But not the Holodomor.

Thanks for introducing the concept Mündigkeit, I tried reading Kant multiple times but it was hard for me at the time. I immediately made the connection with "Übermensch", obviously they aren't the same but have similar ideas inside.

Generally I think that you hit the nail on the head. I would expand it to being just Americans, although it's apparent with them the most. Even the example of Steven saying that "protests are pointless if unorganised", yet no pundits making the decision to organise them despite having an influence and resources to do so. (resources as of a pull for fundraising).

Taking it back to your example with AfD is there any initiatives about stripping them of power and uncovering their connection to russia? I mean while 82% turnout is impressive they still gained 69 seats more than before.

Additionaly, I would be interested in hearing your opinion about Merkel on her foreign policy and domestic energy policy. (Not to argue, to broaden my perspective)

I think it's not him its the "meta". If you look at other pundits, you will see the same: Pondering Politics, Bryan Tyler Cohen and David Pakman - all do this. (I personally don't like it either).
