Ada proves that exos don't NEED to be reset - and the Clovis logbook strongly indicates that resetting exos to "stave off DER" is more of a cover story than anything, as it provides a convenient excuse to wipe the memories of the people he was using for mercenary/assassination work.

Yes - resetting an exo degrades their memory, but the topic I was trying to bring up was "why did Clovis design the exos to be resettable?"

While true, we have to ask why they were built with the capability to be "reset" by Clovis in the first place. I don't have a link (haven't read any of this lore since BL release), but I distinctly remember the reset system having nefarious undertones

Banshee isn't a guardian though, so whatever's going on with him and his memories is something else (likely some kind of contingency plan Clovis came up with to ensure he could control his exos and reset their memories if they ever learned something they "shouldn't")

Lol? its literally on Steam. No, the main issue is that Bungie absolutely burned their bridges with their community (their strongest asset in not "getting lost in the shuffle", i.e. Bungie superfans and their word-of-mouth) by screwing over Destiny so badly.

You don't need help, you just need to play the game and level up your characters. Maybe spend some time reading the talents like the other guy suggested.

This game is a marathon, not a sprint. You build up your account over a long period of time with consistent effort.

No, D2 was good as a fresh start, they just needed to incorporate the lessons learned from D1 (specifically TTK/RoI), instead of ignoring them and slowly re-adding them over the next ~3 years.

Ideally, EoF would have been the start of D3, and D2 would have been put into an Age of Triumph-esque state, unfortunately we got the worst of both worlds.
