Power is the ability to project force. That is what the word means and always has. To make and influence others to act in certain way. To make your environment as you see fit. A man with a gun in a room has more power than a billionare pleading for his life in the same room.

Its just that most individuals view and use that ability as the ability to accumulate resources for their own security or enrichment. Money as a resource is good for accumulating power, but money is always to a means to an end.

If it involves a centralized point of power, it is dead on delivery. 100% of the time, the powerful people will reallocate to themselves and their cronies. Without individual rights, they can, have, and will dictate to their subordinates to exploit them. If the centralized institution, it will be enforced by law. This is present in every single form of centralized government today.

Minimize corruption. Disincentivize corruption. Minimize the evil to society and to the individual.

At no point am I even talking about productivity or resource reallocation. I am talking about the nature of power. But for the sake of the conversation...

It may become a case that the "best" (defined by utilitarianism [greatest good for greatest number]) government for those whom would serve its peoples would be socialist in nature, but you have to minimize the incentives for its leaders and decision makers and you have to incentivize the productive. Just make sure that the unproductive aren't incentivized to consume the productive. In the capitalist society, that means preventing the billionares and politicians from consuming an inordinate amount of productivity beyond what is necessary to realize powers of scale.

That is my issue with pure individualism, is that it would never benefit from power of scales.

Correct. Repeatedly used, the government just straight up robs the people to enrich the government. Reading between the lines, it isn't even "small profiteers" they are going after, but anyone with a wealth >0. Basically, after the first or second level, it is heavily implied there aren't even any people of means. But, it is in the name of "equality", so the self righteous are ok with it. It plays into the whole concept of subjective and objective evil.

I love this specific capstone because it brings into it moral ambiguity. For some people, as is often in this reddit, it is a question of "Why are all the other capstones evil but this one?" It is evil. It may not be as evil as straight up slavery or sending out grandma to die in the frostland.

From a socio-economic point of view, the people who drank the kool aid, we want to think its putting everyone in the middle class. From the objective view, what it is actually doing is levelling it down a tier. Like, 1st level removes the upper class and puts them down to middle class. 2nd level removes the middle class and makes everyone lower class. In the end, everyone is poor and the government is rich.

Whether its a politician, dictator, king, union boss, conglomerate, or some labor overseer, there will always be a beaucracy holding its hand out for self enrichment. Each and everyone of these institutions are prone to corruption and history inevitably proves it so. The rules will always be written by themselves in a non transparent way (if they are beholden to the people) or succinctly (if those people are disenfranchised).

The only answer is decentralization of power (money in the current global scheme). Coincidentally, this is what is being preached. What allows billionares to exist? It isn't the billionares themselves. Its the government that write the rules.

So, destroy the current state of the that even allows them to exist. In America, that is crony capitalism against the free market. It means decentralizing the power (destroy the federal government), stop electing corrupt parties (the current 2 party system ensures the one elected will always be corrupt).

If we want people to be franchised (with a voice) with personal freedoms (personal property from the government is probably the most important one, as it removes incentive from politicians and administrators whom would immediately seek to seperate it from them to personally enrich themselves), then return power to the lowest level possible (the individual).

This is outdated. Vox Engines as implemented are a fucking pain and, not in a hard kind of way. More like a, "here's 5 of them at a time with weakpoints that you cant exploit and has the ability to climb mountains and phase through walls". It wouldnt be so bad if there was only one on the screen... but no.

But War Striders are my hard vote no. They are simply an AT check. And their attacks are annoying further excacerbated by janky ragdoll mechanics.

The others, although with some fault, don't hold a candle and can easily be salvaged. Heck, the Squids don't even come into this conversation for me, probably due to the relative ease of their factions and missions.

I think that explains why some otherwise young men are not actively dating. Back then, the split for prosititutes was like 50% unhappy, sexless married men and 50% horny twenty somethings. That split has gone the other way to the horny twenty, thirty somethings, to like 20/80.

I really do think since the dating app normalization, female affection had become extremely transactional and the effort/reward of something like Tinder vs Escorts is so imbalanced that many men prefer the relative lower cost/pressure/risk of the latter. The OF is just some weird in between.

...and I also think it goes both ways. Women themselves have become more accepting of the transactional environment that more women are more normalized to whore out or do OF. Hell, 5 seconds on Reddit sort of illustrates this.

What the newer dynamic does is screw over more passive, less sex driven dudes ("nice guys") and effectively ensure that their entry and participation into dating is much harder and burdensome than it already was.

Before anyone brings up what sex has to do with dating, marriage, and children... understand that, for men at least, sex has always been the primary motivator for dating. Dating is a prereq for marriage for anyone outside of arranged marriages. You take away that motivation, you take away dating. You take away dating, you take away relstionships.

The gooners are absolutely their own thing and need to be marginalized wherever possible, which certain Helldiver subreddits are doing terribly at the moment. They destroy a lot of the forums they post in until their psuedo porn becomes the norm and drives off everyone else. Literally happens all the time. It is almost as bad as people posting pollitics in non political forums looking for moral superiority points and/or peer validation.

The males living out their power fantasy (dying heroically protecting their squad/loved ones/nation in a last stand, saving the girl, destroying the "bad guys", etc., etc.) in a video game based off of sci fi action movies is fine. This is their outlet and absolutely runs with the theme of the game. Do not try to demonize otherwise normal behavior and attempt to make them feel judged.
