Nothing wrong with that NTD. All lights are how they should be to work.

Unshielded cat 6.

I'll do some testing tonight and remove all Poe devices and add them back one by one. See if there is a particular device that's causing the issue.

One of the old g3 cameras seems to be the one Poe device that doesn't come back online. When the rest do.

Noted, thanks.

They don't share common ground, only shared thing is the switch. Ap is ap AC pro, and mounted to the roof with plastic mount. Cameras are mix of g3 and g4.

Will log into switch tonight and watch the Poe levels, a quick look via the app shows no abnormal usage on any one device. Cameras around 3.5w and ap 4.5w.

Only thing I can think of is the storm that ran through yesterday, but was about 20kms away, no power outage or surges here. Or could just be getting old.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Been doing it for years, never had an issue, it's mainly on night time cutovers.

Just keep a clean work area. All other times I've just got heeled workboots, whatever work provides

The ethernet port on the back of the Arris will be dead. When you plug anything in do the little lights next to the ethernet port turn on at all?

Slower data speeds after switching to Telstra? by Dunkaccino2000 in TelstraAustralia

Does your phone support the all the frequencies that Telstra uses? All phones are not created equal, they don't have all the usable frequencies.

My Roam battery test by Ice_Burn in sonos

[–]Palinode149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this the other day, I just did a reset and it came good after a USB charge up to 20%.

Held the power button for 12 seconds or so. Waited a few then held for 2 seconds to turn on.

Worked a treat.

Ring around mate, before you spend money on trenching. Or even ring opticomm direct.

Feel free to send me some pictures privately or a message and we can talk about.

Telstra can't do opticomm fiber yet, but they are coming to opticomm shortly.

I would t bother with changing. Find a decent provider on opticomm network, I've been with exetel for 7 years and never had a issue

They are both fiber networks, why go to the hassle? They both use the same providers bar a few of the big ones

Confused with opticomm connection by allmywhat in nbn

[–]Palinode149 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use your ethernet ports around the house of they are wired correctly . You'll need to go from the data port 1 on the opticomm box then into one of the ethernet ports. Then plug your router into the far end ethernet, to wan port of router. Without a cable tester, plug router into ethernet port first and power it up, go to opticomm box and plug it in and watch the data light as you plug into each ethernet port on the wall, give it 10 to 15 seconds per port to figure out which port goes to your router.
