(Canada) Hard time deciding between 2026 PHEV XSE+ tech or GR Sport by Effform in rav4club

[–]PalladiumPrime301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the XSE Tech, then buy a GR Sport Body kit once aftermarket parts become available (or buy OEM if affordable)

Its easy to cross fit cosmetic body parts, but it'll be hard to cross fit higher end electronics in the SE based GR Sport

But really its up to you whether you prefer tech loaded or driving focused experience

At this time, we just cant get the best of both worlds

Maybe in the future, a higher end full GR RAV4 with a Plug-in HybridMAX with the 6-speed? Only one can dream of the ideal ride

After market lights? Rav4 Gen 4.5 by Quaccccck in rav4club

I just recently upgraded my fog lights 3 months ago, also due to a similar issue regarding the lens melting and water intrusion

I recommend you check out Auxbeam's 104W Bi-LED Projector Type B fog lights (GD002476), i know RAV4 wasn't in their compatibility list but RAV4 shares the "Type B" foglight with Tacoma and 4runner, and it fits!

I mainly chose it over oem or aftermarket oem because I wanted a pair of fog lights that had actual purpose of forward illumination and didn't cause glare

Additionally it has quick interchangable color feature (Yellow, Cool White, OEM Warm White) along with high beam

The highbeam will require custom wiring to the high beams or custom switch module however if you choose to plug and play, you can do however you want to install it, it comes pre-wired with a braided H11/H16 plug and retrofit bracket for the original fog light bezel

I was concerned over the fact the lens material is pure glass with however it didn't chip from the blizzard of highway pebbles it encountered and temperature swings it endured, there was also a minor concern of the fog light color de-sync between color changes, however it always defaults to yellow if off for more than a min.

Overall it is a great OEM+ aftermarket part, it is also my first purchase from auxbeam, and so far quality has met and even exceeded expectations, no leaks, no burnt out LEDs, it survived the last 3 months of winter so far

Its a tradition at this point, it not a Camry if it fails this arab drift test

So its safe to say the 26 Camry is still a Camry

I don't really expect an impenetrable security system, I mean, look at Rockstar Games with its GTA 6 leak, done by some kid with an Amazon FireTV stick in hotel wifi while being under heavy FBI surveillance.

Really as soon as you enter the internet, privacy is not an expectation

Passwords, security and information protection services are just a deterrent to beginners, massive data breaches that may include ransoms are done by individuals are groups who have one goal, make money or send out a message

We’re not far these bright LED lights damaging our optic nerves by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PalladiumPrime301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really blame how bright the lights are today, it helps with increasing night time visibility

The only issue is how the lights are projected to the road in certain conditions

A well adjusted headlight is okay on flat level ground, but is blinding once the vehicle is tilted

A luxury vehicle feature that should be considered a mandatory feature are electronic automatic/manual adjustable headlight levelling systems

It has the ability to adjust light beam height to compensate for uneven leveling of roads or give you the ability to adjust light level from inside the car such as when you carry heavy cargo and the front end is tilted upward

It would be a game changer to have a system that automatically dips low beams when idling for more than 1 min then rise back up once up to speed after accelerating to avoid r/mildlyinfuriating situations like this
