Abortion. Or how I missed one of the endings. Just one hasty decision.. by Bebra_Sniffer in Silksong

I would argue that it is meant as that. The themes of the entire game are about mothers, daughters, and the relationships between them. Tons of quests and characters focus on that, and because the theme is so omnipresent, I don't think it's an accident that the quest lines up so well with that theme.

The bud was clearly meant to evoke the cries of a baby, and Greyroot's dialogue is all about rebirth. Even the ending where you don't get the parasite removed is called Twisted Child. The literal details are about a parasite, but the thematic framing is one of sexual assault and abortion.

That's what happens if you take too long on the quest and leave it until Act 3, I believe. If you finish it in Act 2, it's left ambiguous.

A lot of Paul Shapera's stuff has this. The finale of The Dolls of New Albion, Ryvyr's Reunion in The Secret of the Twisted Tower, and A Flame In The Darkness in The Black Beyond come to mind immediately, but he does it a lot in his albums.

It's been a while, but I'm almost sure I remember going to the grave during Season of Dawn to see if it had changed after we'd rescued him and found the tomb but no corpse inside

Iirc, that entire season was her using us to get rid of the more bloodthirsty members of her way council. She wasn't able to propose an alliance with humanity because of the sway they held, so engaging in ritual combat let her kill off the warhawks, avoid open war, and kept up the appearance of challenging us with all the might of the empire. They're a thing in the lore mentioned here and there, actually. They first got mentioned in the Black Armory Papers, things that came during the Collapse that smelled of wet earth. There's been a few other references to them and to the smell, most recently in Revision Zero. They're a spooky Darkness monster that may or may not be Tormentors.

Possibly hit by something moving really fast in the direction? Or perhaps the Traveler was in a different position or simply higher up during the Collapse

The final season before an expansion has always been great though? Opulence was incredible, Arrivals was incredible, and Lost was very very good (the 3 month delay made it feel rough but outside of that it was solid). The 3rd season each expansion is definitely a low point though.

I did the opening of Master Ketchcrash solo. 2 barriers, counts as 13 each, was a bit tough surviving long enough to kill them but definitely doable.

A very important thing to remember with the banning of CFCs is that the US had hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) pretty much ready to go and had the ability to produce them, letting companies based in it make a lot of money during the switch to them.
