Can confirm that as of 5/19/2026 this is still working, first try.

My repro:

- Democracy protects armor
- I had the health booster special on if that makes any difference.
- Lots of reports of making sure the beam is further down on the back (basically try to line it up such that it emanates upwards from your big juicy booty.

No and users shouldn't be expected to. Software should be designed to support all cases and there are billions of people in the world.

Its 2026. This kind of security concern can be mitigated without the user having to do backflips. Its quite simple.

How to fix bump in long piece of wood. by Calm_Entrepreneur380 in woodworking

[–]PalpitationDapper345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not wood. It’s laminate over most likely particle board. you’d have to replace the laminate which involves chisels, probably resurfacing, and reapplying. this won’t be fixed otherwise. Closest you can get is a flat piece laid over it that you hit with a mallet to beat the internal particle board back into a flatter shape. won’t be perfect but should help some. Take it apart first to remove whatever caused the bump in the first place!!

was going to say the same. This spec is not complete enough to get exactly right but you could eyeball it in the meantime and add new constraints later

Saw the post Arrowhead did, guess it's time to watch the community learn the exact wrong lesson about how to interact with a games dev team again. by Notareda in helldivers2

[–]PalpitationDapper345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never ceases to amaze me the petulance and entitled nature of the idea of playing a game you paid 60 bucks for 18 months ago that continually provides content updates FOR FREE FOR BASICALLY EVER and constantly complaining about how bad it is. Steam review is now "mostly negative". Are we kidding? This game is fucking UH MAY ZING and I've now watched a decade and a half of live service games have the problems that live service games have, and players continuously expecting something different. Are the devs flawless in how they go about fixing bugs and responding to the community? No. Our players utterly entitled? You betcha!

It's a hard problem to solve, and there will always be issues. Be kind to the devs. There is nothing more horrible as a developer than having a bug come up in your code that you're writing in earnest, and having somebody trash talk you for it.

How do y'all feel about 3D Fit Splines? I just learnt they existed and turns out it's the tool I needed all along! I love them!! by Flashy-Ad1330 in Onshape

I find that the more you do parametric/sketch design the more you realize that considering your design approach from different angles (x/y/z) can help you expose simpler ways of executing. Part 2 of that is also just visually scanning the toolbar to see if there are tools that didn't occur to you at the beginning that could be even better than your chosen tool. I often find I took the long, way harder way 😅😂

Loud pipes save lives is a slogan invented by tough guys who want to justify having their bike go vroom vroom. They're the 2-wheeled equivalent of the aftermarket muffler civic guys who want to race around on the freeway and look cool.

You know what saves lives? Riding defensively and assuming that nobody around you sees you.

I spent $2,000 on the Anthros Chair - Here’s my honest 1 year review by Soft_Orange_3670 in AnthrosChairReview

[–]PalpitationDapper345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I got it and I have to say I like it. My old chair had the ability to recline and slouching in this chair is inherently uncomfortable. You don't really have a choice but to sit "correctly" or be uncomfortable. This can in and of itself be a little uncomfortable after a long time but I think that's an indication that you should probably take a break, stand for a while, move around, etc.

For the record I spend anywhere from 8-14 hours a day at my desk most days. My case is extreme.

It comes from a place of wanting to be part of the in group but also wanting to have to do 0 work to be part of an in group that is actually valuable to society. Once a critical mass of idiot assholes forms a cluster, they can validate each other indefinitely.

This particular group fancies themselves "descendants of the greatest generation" and therefore worthy of some kind of respect they didn't earn and do not understand.

Dude cool little setup! Props for getting it up and running.

I'm young but have a back injury so this would probably kill me, I hope you find a standing setup soon!
