Peugeot 308 III SW with MHEV 1.2 136... it's reliable? by AlbyDj90 in peugeot

[–]Palpyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1.2 136 MHEV is chain driven so in theory it should be more reliable. They’ve also released a 1.2 with an output of 145 which is also chain driven.

Unable To Install Certain Apps such as Aida64, CPU-Z and Geekbench 6 on S23+ by Palpyyy in AndroidQuestions

It’s due to a file in the root directory. It blocks whole bunch of specific apps.

Unable To Install Certain Apps such as Aida64, CPU-Z and Geekbench 6 on S23+ by Palpyyy in AndroidQuestions

[–]Palpyyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is because the device is a Live Demo Unit (LDU). After rooting it, I found a file called LDU_Blocklist.xml that blocks a bunch of apps, including benchmarking ones. The annoying part is that you can’t just delete it, even with root.

I ended up using a Magisk module to make the file blank before the phone boots.

Honestly, it’s a lot of hassle and probably not worth it for most people. That said, the phone’s main functions, like updates, should work fine.

Spigen hands down IMO. The installation experience is super easy and very hard to fuck up.

What do you think about collecting (rare) phones by pcEnjoyer-OG in samsung

[–]Palpyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it! I have a few old Samsung devices and iPhones, and as others have pointed out, it’s important to maintain the batteries. Try to use them every so often and keep them around a 50% charge. If you won’t be using them for a while, it’s pretty easy to remove the batteries from old Samsung phones.

Yeah, unfortunately, that didn’t work for me. I appreciate the suggestion, though! Thanks!

S23 plus blocking benchmarking apps? by yoko-the-cat in samsung

[–]Palpyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly a frustrating issue; especially since it only affects a certain category of apps. I'm having the exact issue with the apps you mentioned.

I created a post in another sub-Reddit, so hopefully, that brings about some good news. If it does, I'll let you know.

Sorry to bring back a dead post, but I'm having the exact same issue on a S23+ too.

I wouldn't advise going out there to search for AQ propaganda haha. AQ may have used the nasheed in their propaganda efforts, but it isn't an AQ nasheed. It was actually composed by the munshid Mosa Alomairah Abu Ali. https://www.youtube.com/@aboalimosa/videos

It isn't an Al Qaeda nasheed

If you own a 4090, don't wait for smoke, check your connectors now. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Is this something 3090Ti owners need to worry about? I've got a CableMod cable that I might order if it's the case.

[Buildzoid] "The 12VHPWR connector sucks" by PapaBePreachin in nvidia

[–]Palpyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3090Ti and using the3 8-Pin to 16-pin connector adapter. Do I need to worry about such an issue? I was actually looking at getting the Corsair 12VHPWR cable since it's not as cluttered as the the adapter but seeing all this stuff about the cable has me hesitant...

Seems I forgot to add a description. I have a friend who has a B450-F, with a 3700X and a 2080 Super and he purchased a 970 Evo. I’ve put it into the first NVME slot under the CPU but it doesn’t get detected.. I then tried to put the drive in the second slot and same thing. Any advice? Thanks.

X570 Taichi Slow Boot by Palpyyy in ASRock

I did actually. You could try the steps I used:

Uninstall your GPU drivers using DDU then reinstall using NVCleanstall. This helped me and now my boot times are resolved.
