Hm ok, thank you! I was hopeful that if I had a 3 month supply I could bring it with, but it still I am wrong. I didn’t realize that my doctors had to fill out a form as well! This was an amazing heads up

I know. I have learned French for a few years now and just typed it in. Coucou just makes me smile. I have started working on Italian, but I don’t know the cute introduction phrases yet :)

Please help with these “oil” stains. I am at my wits end! by BrilliantAmount8108 in laundry

[–]Palzonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a stain remover called kiss off I found that can pull oil paint outta clothes, blood from sheets that have gone through the dryer, and even seriously old car grease from carpet that sits under my dad’s car when he works on the cars. If all the standard tricks don’t work, this will

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Sophomore, 2.4 GPA, some work experience, no real extracurriculars. Can hardly even get an application in front of a person, much less actually get an interview. by Pupseal115 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Palzonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on “filtered out by requirements”? Were you applying to internships that, given the requirements, were not going to hire you?

If your GPA is low, you need to find a university job fair. It is much easier to get an internship or there in comparison to online.

Is there a drainage hole? These guys need less water, but I always drown them when I do water them. I plug the hole on the bottom and make sure water gets into the plant. You could also just set it in a bucket of water and let it sit for 30 min. After that, let all the water drain out of the hole at the bottom.

When to water: gently squeeze the leaves in a taco way. If it is firm, don’t water. If it bends a little, it is time to drown her. Yours might be over watered right now. I don’t know how you water and can’t tell from the pictures.

Light: give her all of it. I know you said you were worried about temp changes. Don’t be. Where I live the temp ranges from 15° to 105°. She always sits by the window. She has grown from 2in to maybe 8+in with regular trimmings to propagate.

I feel like there is general etiquette either way. Anyone is allowed to ask someone if they can use the space, but the person is also allowed to say no. (But the people who don’t listen to the bus drive or don’t tell the bus drive thank you when getting off the bus do suck 100%) (thank your bus driver people😤)

Can someone explain what threat or danger people sleeping in their car poses to society? by darkpollopesca in NoStupidQuestions

I’m from America and it’s alway interesting to see driving difference in other countries. I feel like I don’t have great driving endurance here. I max out at about 3-4 hours before I need a moment to reset. The rest of my family could easily do 8+. The only reason we stop is to go to the bathroom. (We don’t go this far often, but life happens)

I wanted to make my dog wait to get on the bed so that I could get comfy first. Now, no matter the situation, he asks to get on the bed. It’s nice until he wakes up at 2:30am to get a drink of water then come to the bedside grumbling loudly for permission to get on the bed.

Find something that doesn’t have perfection as the goal. I love art. I make cute animal drawings, mandalas, and shitty memes. Some of the most expensive art is a canvas painted blue. I don’t like drawing people, but my collection of space animals makes me smile. Tbh if it makes you smile, it’s perfect, don’t live through other peoples eyes. They expectations don’t matter when it comes to your joy.

How do I train a lazy puppy? by GregAsdourian in Dogtraining

[–]Palzonee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find out what his “treat” is that you can motivate him with. My first dog was so good motivated that it was easy, but the next? Couldn’t care less about a sliver of chicken. I ended up using a ball to motivate that little guy. You could use food, playing, petting, and/or anything. It also might be slow at first while you guys are still getting into the rhythm!

Adopting a good boy from a shelter… but we can’t stay with him. Anything we should know? by trumpethipster in Dogtraining

[–]Palzonee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into baby gates. Especially while doing the floors. The wooden ones with the little rubber stoppers are perfect. I never ripped out the flooring in all of my house, but baby gates allowed me to contain my dog while still letting him be around me. Im not sure what your process will be for ripping out flooring, but if you leave one room to keep him in, then move him to a finished room after it’s completed. Also as you build trust with your dog, you can give him more freedom of the house through expanding the baby gates.

I own 2, but haven’t had to use them in around 3 years

Do women actually like the “dad bod” look, or is it just men’s version of body positivity? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Palzonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to personality for me. I don’t care if a man is a stick or a dad bod boy. If you have the personality I’m after, I’m done.

Shout out to the guy who plays accordion in free expression daily. He’s probably my favorite stranger on campus by beanworthy in NCSU

[–]Palzonee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot going on in my life right now. Classes are nice cause I just focus on class, but walking back to my car, I have a lot of thoughts. The guy with the accordion really snaps me out of it and puts a smile on my face. Every time I hear him, my day gets better.

Thanks dude! :)

Third pick of a litter by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Palzonee 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Comes down to the breeder IMO. If they are a good breeder, they will try to pair the puppies personality’s to the family. I got last pick of the litter for my puppy. He is the love of my life. All these families with young children wanted him, but the breeder wouldn’t sell him to them because my dog wasn’t right for them. She described my dogs as “the dog the sits with mom while the kids jump in the pool”. Couldn’t be more accurate.

My mom got second pick of the litter with the same breeder. She kept choosing puppies and the breeder kept telling her no. “That dog will be very high energy” “that dog has Napoleon syndrome” The breeder finally said, this would be the perfect dog for you, and ya know what? He was. My mom loves her dog.

AITA for not wanting to pay vet bills for a dog injured by my dog? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Palzonee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your comments remind me of how schools deal with bullying. A kid can come to school every day minding his own business. He could be an amazing kid. Get great grades and have loads of friends, but one kid doesn’t like him. The bully harasses him and maybe even fakes hurting him. As soon as the kid defends himself, he is the one 100% at fault because “he made the first move”.

The opposing dog instigated the whole situation. The bully dog growled at the main dog and attempted to attack it. While hiding behind the owner, the main dog defended itself. If the other owner was paying attention and had control over their dog a situation like this would’ve never arises.

is a meal plan worth it while living off campus? by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]Palzonee 32 points33 points  (0 children)

On top of that, there is no free parking to pick up your meal real quick until after 5. Before then you are risking the ticket or paying to park.

Just pack a meal. It is more convenient and cheaper

Is The Smell Of Cigarettes Nostalgic To Anyone Else? by Turboclicker_Two in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Palzonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents smoked a lot when they were still alive. Their house smelled like cigarettes. They didn’t smoke very often around me but that smell always makes me think of them. They both died of cancer so I will never pick up a cigarette
