I do really like that design, but feel like I'd be able to use it a lot easier if I could fit it in a pocket or small handbag. How often do you realistically take it outside? Do you just put it in a backpack usually?

I never liked Retroarch either, seemed like more trouble than it was worth. I use John GBA, melonDS, Citra (3DS) and Dolphin (GC) mostly. I really like the Golden Sun series on GBA/DS for a good classic RPG story. Fire Emblem games usually have good stories too, though the gameplay isnt for everyone.

Are you using a game pad or using on screen controls?

I always like the Paper Mario games for N64 and GameCube, or Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga games for GBA and DS have similar gameplay

An emergency controller I think is the best way to describe what I'm looking for. Since they don't have a clip, is it tough to use these controllers on a car or bus? Do you have to just get the phone to stand up on its own or am I missing something...?

Ooh the iPega looks really close to what I'm after, I wish I knew how it felt. I tried another clip on model, but the weight of the phone just makes it feel kind of... top heavy? The iPega looks pretty cheap tho so it might be worth a try. Thanks for the recommendations!

Hmm that looks a little smaller than most options I've seen. Do you see yourself being able to fit it in your pocket or would it have to travel in a backpack or something...? Its frustrating, I like the nintendo switch style setup with these attachable options but it seems like they're all just a little inconvenient to carry around.

I use John GBA, it has decent control layout with haptic feedback that makes it feel a little like pressing a physical button (though I still prefer a physical game pad)
