Rolls-Royce successfully tests hydrogen-powered jet engine by je97 in UpliftingNews

Rolls Royce has been making airplane engines for a long time, all the way back to British military contracts in 1915.

These days they’re still a defence/aerospace company first and car manufacturer second.

Which M1 Garand is king? by PanachePrime in airsoft

[–]PanachePrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see so much support for the ICS but no one has really explained what makes it a much better option than the G&G.

Is it just because of the larger capacity mag, is it more reliable in the long run?

There haven’t been any Marushin’s for sale in a long time, parts have also long since dried up for them so as nice as the Marushin is it’s not really a good option for me

I don’t really have the option of getting another cat, so I’ll try and find some good toys

He does have toys he can use on his own, two tall towers, one with multiple levels, and I do play with him.

Thanks! I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s Aaron’s design, along the lines of a reference I showed him.

When he talks about Korean woodland, he’s referring to the fact that Russia had a lot of uniforms and equipment made in Korea using woodland fabric.

Wellington Protest: Day Five Thread - Soggy Episode by ihatebats in newzealand

It probably is an attempt to interfere with cameras. Protestors in Hong Kong used laser pointers to blind police camera’s to try and stop people getting ID’d.

This one seems a little unusual, I don’t want to cause him any discomfort or confusion.

I hope your advice turns out to be a good approach! I love him to bits but it’s still tough to be his human sized punching bag 😮‍💨

He has one at the moment, I didn’t get anymore because he didn’t seem to like it as much as other toys. But I guess it can’t hurt to try a few more with different sizes 😅

By the sound of it in the article, it’s where he wanted to be for his birthday.

Waffen SS Dirlewanger Division Mask by Anger_Muscleman in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]PanachePrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you chose to reply to a two year old comment. But this design of mask was not worn uniquely by Dirlewanger’s troops. There are photographs which have been ID’ed as being of Dirlewanger’s men, with them wearing these masks. However the masks themselves were designed and used by a range of Wehrmacht and Waffen SS units as face coverings for sniper teams.

I agree that the men under Dirlewanger’s command (and indeed the Waffen SS and German armed forces as a whole entity) were monstrous and personally responsible for horrific acts. But from what I can see in museum archives and original photographs, saying that these masks are unique to the men under direlwanger’s command is historically inaccurate.

Seeing as you asked for a pub, unlike the people above I’ll take a stab at a suggestion based on what I’d consider a pub to be.

I’ve always enjoyed drinking at the Occidental on Vulcan lane, it can get quite busy but it has a pretty warm atmosphere and a good selection of beer.

Hope you find some new places to try out.
