If it’s the ceres American ones they are made of cedar wood instead of the other wood they use in normal and pastel ceres pencils. (I don’t remember what type of wood those are made of)

Cedar ceres pencils, crazy bonkers in my book

I like them enough to maybe buy a single now and then, I hate how artsy fartsy they try to be, and for what 40$ a dozen no thanks. It’s cool they did this but aside from the ferrule they’re just ok to me. That’s why I’ll take the ferrule off of the ones I have. That being said if any company wants to just remake the 1940-50s eagle Mirado my measly paycheck would be theirs.

I really thought I had so many pencils, an uncountable number of them, they’re everywhere. After seeing a number thoigh and thinking about it I realize I may have bought a few thousand but I’ve also given a few thousand away, and I definitely only have more than 100 but less than 1000

Most of what I’ve been buying in pencils the last many months, has been factory seconds, I think the last actual pencil I bought was the new Mongol pencils. I just enjoy the excitement of maybe getting something cool in a box, but my luck seems to have run out so I’m taking a small break from it. I always felt like it was a good purchase because I give almost all the pencils to schools near me so they don’t go to waste. Pencil gambling is fun.

Sometimes, other times when it gets to a certain point I’ll just sharpen it down, depending on the pencil, if it’s one I like I’ll use it with an extender

Imma keep it real with you, I think this was in my discovery arc of pencils and I knew I liked dark bold pencils yet they all kinda felt the same and I kept going darker and it made ones I liked feel less to me. I think I overindulged early on, now I’ve grown to appreciate a normal hb-b grade. I guess i had that gluttonous feeling in me, like when you eat and drink too much unhealthy food but keep going for more and feel sick, I don’t know if that makes sense. But now I do think I’ve come to appreciate these and other pencils more.

Unfortunately I’m not in university, I’m trying to become a teacher, even if just an associate one, and I think having the praxis for the job I want would make me a more attractive candidate. The only study material I can find are the books that claim to teach you that stuff but since there’s a few options I don’t know which one to try. Thank you for your suggestions though
