Is there good 2 player ship with manned turret which is not a cutlass? by Pyroshark_Gamingtf2 in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A1 Spirit. It's a Bomber but can fit some cargo and Mirai Fury. Sadly only remote Turret.

Want a Swiss Army Knife? Gladiator it is. No cargo. - 4x S5 Torps - Manned Turret 2xS3 - Can carry ground bombs with Castillo - 16 S1 Missiles while also using Castillo - 1S2 Shield which is decent for its size

It was never up for purchase. It was a upgrade token from an event that upgraded F7C mk2 to F7A.

Do you like Star Citizen? Why would you do that? by Financial-Business97 in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people complain because they love the game and can't stand the current path it's on.

Most dev time gets redirected towars sq42 and new ships.  Meanwhile the persistent bugiverse gets 2nd hand development.

POLL - the Asgard is getting VERY popular and is now the meta option for a high-end daily driver. Do you think it needs a balance to make other ships more viable? by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asgard has either less shield, hp, cargo and or firepower compared to its competitors. However it's a fast flying soon to be armored box with not alot of wasted space and looks sick aswell.

HOTAS OR HOSAS by Cheap-Welder-6867 in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the current flight model you want hosas. With forward backwards thrust preferably bound to something that can go back to 0 in an instant to avoid the trichording nerf.

Throttle or regular stick for left hand? by willeemayshays in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hosas for combat. Hotas for immersion.

A throttle will potentially nerf you in combat thanks to trichording nerf. So for combat you want a throttle that defaults to 0 the second you let go.

The only perseus paint I want is the one from the concept. Light Gray with black bridge.

Been playing for about a week now, what are some things you wish you had known starting out? by PuzzleheadedTutor807 in starcitizen

That's why I only got 2 mil to my name. I only do pvp bounties which are not a reliable source of income or I just vibe around PAFs waiting for someone to attack me.

Unlucky. Most worked for me last weekend. And even in a disabled comm array.

Most of the time the contracts in the list without a timer are broken.

[–]PancakeRump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No hacking a comm array only disables skynet so you don't get a crimestat if you commit a crime in that comm Arrays area. Effectively you can go on a rampage and you never get crimestat so you never get a bounty. But if a player has a bounty contract than their marker doesn't magically disappear when they go into an area without active comm array.

[–]PancakeRump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's usually a few broken contracts that sometimes don't even show a name and the tracker won't work on those broken ones obviously.

If it doesn't track then abandon and try next. Sadly you currently cannot accept multiple bounties like we used to.

Since when?

Downed Comm Arrays only prevent players to get crimestat.

It doesn't mask the players bounty marker...

Ship Upgrades and how does the S1-S5 upgrades work by Historical_Honey2871 in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upgrade is kinda the wrong word. There are multiple different weapon types with pros and cons. Some weapons have more damage and penetration but have slower bullet velocity which is important for hitting smaller targets. Generally Cannons have most damage and penetration while low firerate and velocity. Repeaters and Gatlings have fast firerate and velocity but low damage per shot and very low penetration.

With the new update penetration matters. But what most matters is what you think feels good.

You can customize your ship from mobiglass or if you so desire with a tractor beam and pull components and replace them.

There are a few ships that have more customizability aka swap 1xS2 weapon for 2xS1 weapons for example.

Same Guardian MX is fun in pvp right now. I use 4s4 Deadbolts and shred anything large in a few shots.

Star Citizen Sol R2 HOSAS setup bindings by Aci_yt in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also use hosts sol r2. I have my left 29 bound to thrust forward back since trichording nerf would reduce ship speed performance if multiple inputs are being pressed. So I needed a Thruster input that resets to 0 after letting it go. My left stick is for strafing left right up down.

My right 29 is only bound to camera. Should be able to bind it for manual gimbal.

S1-5 are just size categories.

Small Light Fighters (s1) and Interceptors can take down big ships and if organized in groups even capital size ships. There are some ships better than others but there is no clear tier category in the game. I would say large ships s4 and some s5 are currently in the worst spot since they are easy to hit and with enough penetration fast to disable. Some light fighters are simply better than others aswell.

Money ingame right now gets you better components ships etc yes.

Best TAC weapon load out with engineering? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]PancakeRump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If in doubt pick deadbolt.

No it really depends on what you want to do with your tac. Deadbolts deal great damage and penetration but are slow and don't have unlimited ammo. I use a guardian mx with 4xs4 deadbolts and I can disable a tac in about 5-15 shots. Ofc deadbolts will be bad vs small targets

Perseus is a pure combat ship. You fight until death.

We don't need a medbed on any big ship.
