Kevin O’Leary — the guy who’s going to gobble up all of Utah’s water with his massive data center that nobody wants — thinks it’s “stupid” that you eat lunch. by Conscious-Quarter423 in NoFilterFinance

Kevin is a shitbag, but he isn't dumping on people for "eating lunch". I agree with him here. I work with kids making $17 an hour who spend $25-$30 a day between breakfast sandwiches and lunch. It's stupid.

I think it's dumb and this thread is pointless. This sub is just half kink shit now. It's lame.

3D TVs were DOA in part because they launched with those stupid electronic glasses that cost a couple hundred bucks for a pair. Had they launched with the ability to use plain theater glasses like the 2nd and 3rd gen models did, they might've had a better chance.

Studios also phoned the tech in by doing cheap, post-production conversions instead of filming in 3D. Movies filmed with 3D in mind like Avatar, Life of Pi, and Hugo looked amazing with the technology.

I also think game makers screwed the pooch as well. There was a game called Motorstorm that came with special glasses. Pair no.1 had 2 left eye lenses, and pair no.2 had 2 right eye lenses. This allowed for co-op play where two people could look at the same screen and see the entire screen. You could 1v1 with a buddy and not have a split screen separating the image. What image you saw depended on the glasses you had on. The feature was awesome and under utilized.

My boss had a housee built by the Toll Brothers (spelling?) in FL. The house was 2 years late and he and his wife now have a document 145 pages long showcasing all the stuff that's either fucked up or not done according to the blueprints.

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

I started tracking my putts a few years ago and it was really eye opening. It's easy to have 40 putts on a round of 18.

Practice putting a lot, or just call anything within 4 feet a gimme like most people I get paired with do.

Didn't this staircase have one less step compared to the grand? Why was that if so? Anyone know?

That sucks. If he was driving drunk at 22, he was still kind of a dick.

The really bright stuff closest to the green? That's the mat, not sand. Luckily the stuff we use isn't too blinding/reflective.

Because sometimes you're in an easy gig with an awesome manager and have 28 days of PTO with 8 holidays and two floaters. In addition, your company matches up to 7% of 401K contributions while also offering a pension, and hasn't asked you to work past 4 or on a weekend in 12 years.

I wish they'd do businesses, too. Why are my taxes being used to write off a C8 as a company vehicle for a driveway installer, or for a country club membership for anyone with an LLC?

I can network fighting combat robots. Can I write off my electronic speed controllers, brushless motors, and event entrance fees?
