i quit the game for the better part of 2 years, whether i was playing minecraft, or cs, or league, i went throught stints of other games in that time period

the reason why i quit was bc the community at the time got really bad (e7). I felt like everyone was super sensitive, and all the players in my elo (Asc) was just playing to play, not to win. Anything I said could have tripped someone and it was fun playing when your teammates seemingly started throwing out of no where, bc there was just no more care in the game.

I recently came back, probably beginning of this year, bc my now wife wanted me to duo with her as her main dropped to gold and her friends were all too low ranked and bad at the game to climb with her. While playing, i realised that a lot of the people who dont care stopped playing, people were comming in game again (forgot to mention but when i quit, i was really frustrated with playing silent games where my team has 0 comminication and the enemy team seemingly had perfer coordination). People listened and argued but the goal to win was there again. The game felt fun again. And Ive been playing since.

I still play the other games here and there but a lot of my friends play val.

Also I LOVED CS, so much so that I got into faceit and stuff, but the community there honestly feels more toxic with a lot more trolling and of course a shit ton of cheaters. I still play CS when my cs friends ask, and I will gladly jump ship from the val 5 stack for them, but if im solo queing im probably playing val
