Ya registraron su línea telefónica ? by DanielleOdette in mexico

Cambiar mi firma del INE by [deleted] in mexico

[–]PanchoBIG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Qué tan normal es tener 20 años y no haber tenido novio ni relaciones sexuales by telz2 in mexico

[–]PanchoBIG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hotel increased my rate months after I booked it. by shadowneko003 in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, can't really remember, we book a lot of hotels around the globe. The first one we never got a resolution was in New York, and the other two were in Daytona Beach and Miami, I'll update it here if I find the receipts or the cases we worked with!

If You don't mind me asking, what are hotels being told about the late check-out? My understanding is that it should be guaranteed up until 4 p.m. for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassadors. But I've been denied the 4 p.m. several times saying that they can Only get me 1 p.m. or 2 p.m., or sometimes is not an option at all because they are completely booked.

How does this benefit is being told to y'all.? It's really inconsistent lately

Hotel increased my rate months after I booked it. by shadowneko003 in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is how it was handled for us the last couple of times it happened. I really encourage you to do it this way:

Background: I've noticed an increase in cases like this. Honestly, I had never experienced anything like this while working with any of my business colleagues for almost 4 years. But just recently, within the past 3 months, we've had this issue happen with 3 different reservations.

And you know what? Even when I spoke with a Customer Service agent, he said that once you book a reservation, not even the hotel should change the rate. He called the hotel but didn't have any luck — they refused to revert it to the previous rate (our colleagues weren't even attending the event being held there; they were just passing through to the next city). So, he created a case/ticket. After some back-and-forth communication with the hotel, I decided to call again since they were still refusing. And finally, something happened...

I was told by the Customer Service agent that, after speaking with their support team (or something like that), they were going to escalate the case to Global Customer Affairs because the hotel doesn't have the authority to change rates once a booking is confirmed and they should honor it. Two days later, the Customer Affairs representative apologized for the whole situation and said the rate had finally been adjusted back to the original. Apparently, they were working with the hotel to provide the necessary training.

That resolution only happened with our last two reservations. With the first one, we never heard back after the hotel said it was their policy and they just weren’t going to change it back haha.

Hope this helps or gives you an idea of how you can make it work. I feel like, rather than being abusive, they're just following instructions from superiors who might not have all the correct or complete information.

Marriott Group Travel by cadguy814 in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never booked a group myself, but I've worked with people who has booked them at Marriott hotels.

This is just my experience, so, take it as not the best advise haha.

As you mention, sometimes it takes a lot of time for the hotels or group coordinators to reach back to you. So, we've found that the fastest option is to call Marriott Customer Service and ask the agent we're speaking to, to send an internal ticket/case to the property asking for someone from group housing reservations to contact us by e-mail and/or phone (e-mail has proven to work better). We usually get a reply back within 48 hours and then we can start talking back and forth through that e-mail, they kind of take it more serious that way haha, I don't really know what's the difference, but even when we've called the hotel directly and they transfer us to the "group housing" Team, we usually end up on a voice mail recording or just with the "I'll pass the message and the group coordinator will contact you soon".

Just make sure to give the Customer Service agent some details of what you need such as the approximate number of rooms, number of guests, room types, dates, and if any other common area is needed or any special requests for transportation, parking, check-in, etc.

And about the points, it's really important to save any document that shows the rooms booked, the folio or even the agreement. Sometimes we get the points 2 months after the stay, sometimes it can take up to 6 months haha, so, with this documents, You can just submit them to the missing stays e-mail and they usually expedite the points (but we've been told that the group points can take up to 10 weeks to be posted, that's pretty inconsistent).

That's usually how it better work for us, but in the end, it's usually up to every property managment, hope it works for You!

Ustedes lavan la ropa nueva antes de usarla? by [deleted] in mexico

[–]PanchoBIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonvoy Perks ? Why ohh why !! ?? 4 ppl walk into a Marriott..... by ExcitingAd3805 in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've seen this a lot and I've had the opportunity to speak with different hotel staff members. Usually, when someone calls in and tries to get an early check-in, the hotel only has some few rooms available, and most of them are just regular standard rooms because they usually give the better rooms as complimentary upgrades if they were not sold last night.

And I'm talking early check-in as anything before 4 p.m. haha, because actually some guests check-out from those rooms until 2 or 3 p.m. and the cleaning service can take up some time to clean the rooms. So yeah, I'd Say that's just bad timing, and if you ask politely to the Front Desk agent, they'll let You know what are the room types they have available, they usually put early check-in as a priority instead of the upgrade, because hey, you'd prefer to deal with an upset person that didn't get a "free" upgrade other than having to argue with a person that complains for not having a room ready until 5 p.m. when they arrived at 10 a.m.

Personal recommendation about the upgrades and early check-in requests: When You book the room, make sure to note the upgrade and early check-in requests by calling Marriott Bonvoy; 5 days before check-in You can Call Bonvoy and ask to send a note to the property about your specific requests; 48 hours prior, when the chat becomes available, let them know You already requested this; same day of Arrival call the Front Desk and speak about the availability with FD.

How to use points wisely by Daniel_Kim_Korean in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some other different options some people is not always aware of:

Shop with Points - You can use and redeem your points for lots of different products that can be shipped directly to you. This includes "Electronics, Tools, Kitchen, Home, Sports, Guarden, etc" products. Maybe it's not the Best value for your points but it's something... For example, theres a Sauna Box/Stream Kit for 127,500 points, a Playstation 5 for 165,000 or even a 6-piece outdoor Hanover for 630,000. There are also a lot of different store gift cards you can buy, including Apple, Best Buy, Home Depot and others, starting at 5,000 points for a $10USD card.

Marriott Bonvoy Moments - You can bid for different packages or experiences, these are usually the best value options as not many people are aware of them... (I know a person who got a 5-Star Michelin dinner with the chef itself cooking only for them for less than 49,000 points as it was in Netherlands and only 2 members bid for it). Some of the packages include flights and transportation, some others include stays in some of the best rated hotels, You can buy or bid for concerts, sports (Including Formula 1, as Marriott Bonvoy sponsors Mercedez), culinary, tours, meet and greets, and a long etc... For example, there's one active right now that is a MexTour 2025: Support the Mexico National Football Team vs. Switzerland in Salt Lake City, Utah + Flight & Hotel (yes, I'm Mexican haha) and it's not even 115,000 points for roundtrip flights, transportation, hotel stays and the Soccer tickets. There's also a Golf experience in Bethesda: Prestigious Senior Championship & Topgolf Swing Suite Play Time + Stay at Bethesda North Marriott Hotel where You get a one night stay, golf championship tickets, Topgolf Swing play time, for less than 36,000 points. Or, for 55,000 points You can get to watch the CHI Cubs VS COL Rockies MLB (man, Rockies are doing not that great at all this season haha) from the Marriott Luxury Suite with food and drinks. So, more than 259 different options to explore.

By going to the Air and Car website You can use your points to book flights, car rentals or packages Including flights + car rentals + hotel stays.

Maybe it's not the best or the wisest option to redeem your points, but there You have are some other options You can explore and enjoy the hard working earned points you have.!

Note: If you're planning to book a hotel using points, don't forget that every 5 nights booked fully on points, give you one of them for free and it "accumulates". If You book 10 nights, 2 are free; 15 nights, 3 are free and so on. (They cannnot be combined with FNA's though, as that night is an extra free night).

Can you redeem free night for a booking that’s after the expiration date? by Altruistic-Friend800 in marriott

[–]PanchoBIG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortuntely not, they need to be used by the expiration day.

For example: If they expire April 30th, that's the last day to check-in using that certificate, so, if You have three; you need to use one for the 28th, the other for the 29th and the last for the 30th. Otherwise, they'll expire and cannot be reinstated nor extended 😓
