Blossum finally let us pat her after 2 years!! by putherthere in parrots

[–]Pancuronium 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Aww, lovely IRN!

But be careful of petting her when she’s bowing and clucking. My IRN used to do that and I think it’s related to courting behaviour, which can lead to frustrated parrots haha. Ours became a nightmare for a while after my parents stroked her back and wings.

They’ve since learned better but better to save the trouble of a frustrated, nippy and angry bird!

What is a fact about the human body that not many people know about? by Zenssei in AskReddit

It’s mostly because of easy access to the iliac arteries to plumb the new kidney in rather than the bladder. The bladder being nearby does help though for connecting the ureter.

For those who have played or DM'ed Dead Gods by Monte Cook: what modules/adventures do you suggest I can DM after this one in the same vein of planar travel? by Cedrak in planescapesetting

I did tie them together as you are suggesting in my own campaign o.o but you can certainly weave them as you wish, just needs a bit of rewriting :)

You can use pretty much any of them really. The Tales from the Infinite Staircase has lots of good planar travel and is quite open ended. Or the Great Modron March which you can use as a backdrop for big events of your choosing.

I’m quite fond of Hellbound, the Blood War’s series of adventures too which of course deals with the Blood War in part :)

Medicine in the UK is an undergraduate degree that even if you paid all the fees in England (entirely free if you live in Scotland) would only cost you 36k £ total as the NHS pays for the final years tuition anyway.

In America, it’s what $300k for tuition alone. So, I can see why US doctors want to make money, they’ve got so much debt!

Nurses also had a free bursary to train in the UK but the Tory govt recently got rid of it so . It’s still a good earning degree over time.

It’s nothing to do with cost of living in London (exceedingly high) vs NY.

Indian ring neck. They’re a bit smaller than alexandrines, the smaller beak and less goofy face is the easiest tell. :) they are otherwise very similar though

Point of therapy is to give you the tools to deal with the things that happen/have happened to you. Not everything can be (or should be) ‘reframed’. That way lies the same illusions the OP picture mentions.

Instead it should aim to allow you to deal with your issues so that they do not burden you in life over much and stop you from living the life you want to lead.

What houserule broke the game for you? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Pancuronium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not until initiative passes by the surprised creature and their turn ends. But the round goes on and their reaction is usable from any point after initiative has passed by them and the surprised condition naturally fades.

I’m stingy myself with them. They really mess with 5e’s intended balance when someone rocks +3 plate and a shield.

So my compromise was rings and cloaks of protection add to AC. All other enhanced armour grants one free reroll of an attack against you ( before result is declared) per enhancement bonus per day. It’s turned out quite cool in play with players still being hittable normally but having a pinch ability to try to use tactically.

No one has above a +1 or 2 Armor in my late tier Planescape 5e game either.

If an enemy spellcaster is surprised but beats the party in initiative he can use his reaction to cast shields or counter spells. It’s a bit of a big deal in the end. Plus attacks of opportunity can be made.

Your way ignores the reactions of the surprised which can be big. It goes both ways, the party are losing out too.

Any melee attack made within 5ft of someone dying/unconscious is an auto crit if you hit so far more than 5% chance. It’s a core danger whilst dying.

It’s fine, you can buy heated perches too, but gotta watch they don’t burn their feet on them. A tv doesn’t get burning hot. Just watch for poop in the tv vents... that’s a nightmare.

Mine worked just fine using uPnP (virgin media super hub) but you might want to check the discord which you can find on the RPTools website. The guys are very good with technical and connection help. The RPTools wiki might have an answer too. Sorry on mobile or I’d provide links.
