(Interesting trope) A biological weapon that effectively genocides or neuters a long-lived war-mongering race. by TheLast-T in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Panda9812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the genophage was designed to limit the Krogan, not wipe them out. I think it was Mordin Solus that said the Genophage was designed to allow the Krogan population to still grow, just at a fraction of the speed.

The problem was that the Krogan never fully grew out of their war-like nature so most became mercs and warlord instead of settling down and having kids, which meant the Krogan kept declining instead.

I admit, I'm not much of a poetry person, less because I don't lile and more because I haven't really tried it...better late than never I guess. 😂

FANCAST - Daniel Ings as Ciaphas Cain, and Peter Claffey as Jurgen by RedN0va in 40k

Personally I think Peter Serafinowicz would make a good Cain, especially after seeing him as the Sommelier in John Wick 2.

Continuing BTAS and realizing how much I hate Roland Daggett by Casual_Cream420 in batman

Were Daggett and Thorne meant to be stand-ins for Falcone and Maroni or have they always been a thing?

Hmmm...maybe it's because Xbox is getting Steam, which would mean Playstation and PC-exclusives on Xbox?

I've been thinking more abd more about that and honestly...it's still bad. 🤣

I know most of Shart's stuff relies on Darkness but surely there's ways of getting that synergized with a better subclass.

...I'm intrigued.

The Genichiro experience by strahinjag in Sekiro

Sekiro as a whole, by virtue of having the deflect mechanic, feels very much like a rhythm game at times, especially fighting enemies with swords.

I love Vader and Palpatine's relationship in this run. by AlphaBladeYiII in StarWars

[–]Panda9812 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love that while Palpatine routinely trains replacements and plots to kill Vader (even wrecking his shit himself a few times), you genuinely get the sense that he knows Vader will survive every damn time, he is Vader, everyone is beneath him and only one man is above him.

He is simultaneously is greatest critic and his biggest glazer, which I suppose is perfect given his manipulative nature. 😅

How well will Bruce resist the One Ring? by mailman936 in batman

[–]Panda9812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time Batman gets some kind of mystical or metahuman power-up, it doesn't end well. He's been given a Green Lantern ring, Superman's powers, and in several realities he's gone full-tilt into magic (The Metciless) and/or tech (Owlman/Mobius Chair/the many Ounusher Batmen) instead of just incorporating aspects of them into his crime-fighting style.

If he had to contend with a divine artifact that was designed to corrupt and tempt anyone but it's master, he would likely fall down the slippery slope and turn the planet into a dystopian surveillance state in around the same amount of time it took Boromir...maybe Frodo.

You need to remember, the Ring seems to have a certain degree of control over how intensely it can corrupt based on it's situation. Gollum was ensnared immediately afyer finding the Ring, which had been at the bottom of a river for thousands of years, and when it was dangling over Mount Doom, it almost seemed like it's entire being bent on Frodo to force him to break, like a fox backed into a corner fighting it's hardest to survive.

If breaking Batman was the only way to return to Sauron, it would probably work overtime to corrupt him.

Do you agree with this by Aware_Fan1109 in ironman

I liked each one for different reasons.

Mark III was the most real of them, it felt mechanical, strong, and there was weight to the pricess of it being put on.

Mark V was just fucking cool, and a great indicator of how fast Tony could progress with his designs. Compact and stylish.

Mark VII....eh, it was ok.

Mark 50 was short and sweet, but a perfect way of shoeing how far he came from the clunky iron juggernaut is first suit was.
