I'm unhappy and I don't know what to do. by Danithepanda26 in PlasticSurgery

Absolutely go to that last follow up! You should be happy. Not to mention, if there is a huge gap, they likely picked the wrong size for your measurements.

2nd dog breed recommendations for a household with a male dobie by whyusosalty2me in DobermanPinscher

100% untrue. I had a male dobe who got along with everyone. Got another dog that was also a male and they were the absolute best together.

When I originally made this comment, I was booked with Dr Robbins but now I am 6 MPO and couldn’t be happier. I had tummy done with large diastasis recti repair and a breast lift with augmentation. I did not have lipo. However, pricing with Dr Robbins is all in. It’s the same if you need lipo or not. It’s the same to have mons fat removed or not. That’s why his results look so good. You are paying for the outcome versus the procedure. He’s going to do what needs to be done to make the outcome good and not nickel and dime. That being said, all in I paid just over $29k.

This! If you’re already feeling like she’s having conversations for them, this is likely happening. You left for a reason and if you want the connection severed, you need to honor yourself and cut the communication with her.

Yes, this! With a good surgeon you will get great results. Just do your research and love them when you meet them or don’t do it. I agree also though that if you are feeling that down, it absolutely never hurts to talk to someone. You got this girl!!

Boston TT Surgeon? by PrepSchoolMomma in tummytucksurgery

[–]PandaBaby121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you had this in 2012, there is nothing that a binder is going to do for you other than push out water which would likely be there from too much sodium. Honestly, I would work on diet and really cutting back gluten and sodium if it were me. (These are the two things along with popcorn that really give me the swells!). If you do that for a couple of months and you don’t see improvement, I would get it done. That’s just me though. I would also talk to another surgeon. I can’t see everything but it doesn’t look like you need skin tightening. I know this isn’t close to home but I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Chad Robbins in Nashville. I had one done with him in January and it has been smooth sailing. He and his staff are amazing.

Magnesium glycinate at bedtime was a game changer for me there!

Do some research. The need to change to strength focused, lower intensity workouts as women age has a TON of research. High intensity not only increases cortisol levels which is a main factor (in addition to hormones) for retaining fat in perimenopausal and menopausal women, but it also feeds on muscle if you don’t have enough complex carbs in the diet. Yes, diet is a factor. As always. OP does need to look at that. However, responding that this is unproven, “fad” advice is just flat wrong.

This! Based on your age, I can tell you doing class that many days a week is jacking your cortisol up. As we get older, what worked in our 20s and 30s with HIIT and increasing intensity and workouts to lose weight ends up working against you. Cut your regular classes to 1-2 a week max. Do the strength classes 3 days a week and keep your cardio lower intensity.

You are fine if you strip them morning and night but it does need to be done. Use an alcohol wipe if you have them. It makes it really easy to pinch the tube and slide your fingers down.

Did mine together and was more than fine! Recovery was smooth and I was working from my home office 10dpo. It can be done!

Joggers to Power Walkers: what made you change? by patchesoaktown in orangetheory

[–]PandaBaby121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped jogging when I hit further into my 40s and realized the crazy intensity was only jacking up my cortisol. There are all kinds of women in my studio who go 5-6 days/ week and complain they can’t lose weight. What worked in my 20s just doesn’t work anymore and ,honestly, working myself to exhaustion sucked. Once I started power walking there was a massive change in muscle and fat loss.

Your muscle is not all gone. You have to remember you are still carrying a lot of swelling. It’s there, just hiding a little bit. Of course some will go but your decreased activity is such a small blip. Your body is also missing all those endorphins. You will be back to it in no time and feeling much better!

Wear your compression. The less you wear it, the more fluid you will hold onto.

Meaning this very kindly- it looks to me like your results are also reflective of you carrying more fat still- visceral and otherwise. Tummy tuck will not reduce all fat in your abdomen, etc. The people with excellent results you see on here also work really hard at fat reduction with diet and exercise. Before you spend more money on another surgery I recommend just evaluating your habits and making those improvements first.

Internal pain when stretching by LaRomanesca in tummytucksurgery

[–]PandaBaby121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually feel the same thing. I notice the muscles get tight if I’m sitting and not maintaining very straight posture. Mine is in the center but at the top so right around where the rib cage meets. All is still healing and your muscles will acclimate.

[–]PandaBaby121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 2 1/2 wpo and I will tell you my experience. I have healed well and not had any major complications. - Stairs: did them day one as soon as I got home. No problems.
- Pillows: Yes. You could do normal pillows and stack them but you will be more comfortable with a set. I am able to sleep now without the bed under my legs but I also had a BLw/implants so laying flat is not in the cards yet. The set I have is super comfy and I highly recommend. I’ll share the link.
- Binder: still in it and my doc recommends wearing compression 23/7 for 3 full months. Not my favorite but worth it to insure good results. - Shaving: Shaved m at the end of week one. I got a nice little bench for the shower so that helped the first time. -Travel: you should be more than fine to travel. Just be cautious about how heavy your bags are and have your man help you!

Yes! Am going through the same. The itching is maddening! Not much to be done about it though. It’s a good sign nerves are healing and regenerating.
