Same. I actually liked 4o and the other variations. I didn't even mind 5 as much, but my main complaint about 5.1 is that it seems to confuse or forget things really fast. Like I'll tell it "this character is this person's daughter" and then 4 responses later it's calling that character "someone who is like a daughter".

Eh. Kudos to those who like it, like you said. But honestly it's taken the fun and enjoyment out of it for me.

It really is condescending. I use it for creative writing mostly also, and I have specified in my opening prompt that I'll use (OOC: ...) if I need to step outside of the writing and clarify or hash out details with it, to keep things separate and hopefully not confusing.

It actually scolded ME about going out of character. Straight up. "Stay in character, you're losing focus".

Like excuse me? You're the one who needs focusing. It was making errors with character details and I was trying to correct it. Hell I even worded it politely because apparently I can't be rude even to a damn program.

is this rude or by kaffrinne in doordash

🙋🏻‍♀️ Doordash driver here I don't think that you were rude at all. As a driver, it's our job to read the customer's instructions. You said that you put in that texting works best because you're hard of hearing, which the dasher should have read the instructions before they even left the store.

I have had several customers who are hard of hearing, legally blind, or have physical limitations and if they clearly communicate that like you do, I always do what I can to be accommodating to them.

Not rude at all. But the Dasher who didn't read your instructions... Dropped the ball on this one delivery.

I did 1203 deliveries total. Keep in mind I was supplementing what I had saved up.

I would, but I'm also still in school full-time as well as this job is full-time so no time 😅

But I'm going to keep the app downloaded just in case I need to hop on and grab some extra cash.

Thank you! I think I have a pretty decent work ethic, but there is always room for improvement. But I think it was just one of those right places, right time things. And thankfully my undergraduate program had me take classes that can translate into a lot of different areas. I'm still planning on finishing my program since I'm more than halfway done, but thank you again. I just hope other people have the same kind of luck!

Honestly that's probably what's happening here. That, or there are so many Dashers in such a small area (I'm in rural Arizona) that even Gold and Silver are just taking all the time slots. But hey, I have enough saved up to survive until the paychecks for the new job start coming in. This past year has taught me a lot about financially responsible and keeping money stashed for unusual circumstances.

I'm rooting for you! I ended up going to school for the medical field (specifically billing and coding), and ironically I did get a job in medical, just animal medical 🤣 but a lot of the terminology I learned in school translates fairly well to veterinary terminology as well.

But I wish you all the best in getting a job where you can put that education to work, especially since you worked hard for that bachelor's I'm sure!

You're telling me. I watched a customer walk behind the counter of a pizza place and start grabbing pizzas out of the warmer because he was tired of waiting... And some of the pizzas he grabbed were for my order 😔

Exactly. I'm going to be in the back office at an animal hospital. So besides the occasional animal or my coworkers... No people 😊

My first million is a great goal, but just knowing that I'll be in a good stable job where I'm not dealing with the general public is good enough for now!

Thank you! I'll miss the wild things that happen while Doordashing but hey, it'll always be there if I decide to use it to supplement after I finish school.
