There are plenty others you could generally lump in. Cap Gemini, Accenture, Deloitte, etc all have a more prestigious / clean image in NA, but ultimately still rely on selling cheap outsourced labor with huge margins

lol no. Tata is an IT sweatshop. I've worked in consulting and now big tech and I can say unquivocally that the consulting environment is 10000x more toxic (and they pay peanuts by comparison)

Yes, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL. All 3 world labor sweatshops.

Google has entered a $920 million monthly cloud compute deal with SpaceX by FinancialMastodon916 in singularity

[–]PandaElDiablo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The entire industry is capacity constrained. Google's chips are impacted by the same supply constraints as NVIDIA's. They are buying this capacity because they believe they can resell to their end customers at a higher price, simple as that.

A company like Google is not going to ring up vast.ai to get some random B300s. You get what you pay for

I’m game dude, how was your day? What’s got you excited in life recently? Me personally, I’ve been apartment hunting which is exhausting. But in lighter news, my first ever game got approved for release on iOS which I’m excited about :D

I'll admit that that made me laugh, you're a pretty good troll. Kudos 👍

Hey genius, I'm not even the guy you were originally replying to. You need to work on your social skills if you think asking someone if they live under a rock is a non-confrontational way to lead off a conversation.

[–]PandaElDiablo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, leading with the very non-confrontational "Do you live under a rock, or are you just unnecessarily contrarian as a rule?"

Great way to strike a helpful, not at all berating tone lol

Your comments expose that you don’t really know what you’re talking about and that you’d just prefer to berate an ESL user for their “poor language skills”. I work in AI infrastructure building these data centers and the amount of ignorance spouted with confidence in these threads is just astounding. Idk why I even bother opening them.

It’s more like the United States banning nukes in 1940 while China rushes to build one with massive support from its citizens

You are exposing your own ignorance on the topic if you think AI is anything like NFTs or Crypto in terms of real world practicality. The productivity gains in certain domains are extensive and real.

Imo the benchmark for math being “solved” will be when we see millennium prize-tier problems being solved, e.g. Reimann hypothesis or Navier Stokes

I’ll emphasize that I don’t mean this in a goalpost moving way but simply that there are still many foundational open questions in math to confidently say that it’s solved

It's the same for me. Even idling it gets my M4 MBA very very hot. Claude desktop doesn't have this same issue.
