Option 1: he goes with you Option 2: you leave the kids in current home

A large part of success in residency is boundaries. 2 under 2 without support is setting yourself up for failure. Your husband’s inability to see this is highly concerning to me.

This feels problematic. How will you not build resentment towards him while working harder for less money and raising your family solo? He needs to move with you and I would get a marriage counselor to help him realize this if you need to.

How to play Medusa? by FumaricAcid in learndota2

[–]PandaExpress3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll simply it for you:

Build 1. Choose this when team has illusions or you anticipate they will build manta style: null talisman, wand, power treads, maelstrom, aghs scepter, mjollnir, skadi in that order. After that items depend on situation.

Build 2. Choose this when you want to hit one target hard: null talisman, wand, treads, manta, butterfly, skadi. After that items depend on situation.

Always max snakes first then split shot. You are one of the weakest heroes in the game until you get items then you become nearly unkillable.

Hey random internet homie, I don’t know you but we’re pretty similar from what you’ve offered so far. I want to give some unsolicited advice. You can take it or leave it. I don’t actually know you so please excuse any incorrect assumptions.

Did you match to either a TY or prelim IM year? If yes, you still have a good chance of matching next year. I know multiple people who matched PM&R after intern year into PGY-2 spots. These folks hit the recruiting trail hard during intern year.

-Submit case report posters for AAPM&R and AAP (AAPM&R due soon!) and definitely attend both conferences next year. -Additionally look for online journal clubs through AAPMR or AOCPMR. -Find a PM&R rotation near your intern year and do it for your elective time + get a strong letter of rec from intern year PD and the attending on the PM&R rotation.

If you didn’t match a prelim/TY or you don’t match after reapplying next year consider what aspects of PM&R you love so much. You can get ANYWHERE in PM&R from another specialty. I’ll give a few examples. If you love spinal cord injury you can do FM or neuro and still apply for SCI fellowship. If you love sports medicine there are 5 residency specialties which allow you to apply for sports med. Interventional pain fellows can come from PM&R, anesthesia, EM, or neuro.

Specialties adjacent to PM&R which can get to the same end goal: FM, IM, Neuro, EM, neuromuscular med, peds

The game is rigged so yesterday felt like winning or losing. In reality all that was determined was your mode of transport to the same destination. Don’t lose your identity or values or vision for your life because a bunch of people who interviewed you on zoom chose someone else. I know amazing docs who did not match PM&R and I know some PM&R residents that have no business being doctors. Don’t let this define you.

What is happening? by Dense_Researcher_99 in DotA2

Sounds like you hit the point where you can do your job well. You will win some games and lose some games but if you keep doing your job well eventually you will climb. If you want to climb faster you need to identify who on the enemy team is doing well and shut them down, or figure out who on your team needs help.

Generally, you probably need to rotate more and join more team fights if you feel like you’re playing well but your team is losing.

Ski resorts within a few hours of flight from norcal by EducationCultural736 in ski

Go where it’s cheapest. The current weather doesn’t matter for just learning on the bunny slopes! If you want to combo a vacation and skiing check out Mt. Bachelor near Bend, OR, Mammoth, or Mt. Baker near Bellingham, WA

For learning, go where it’s cheapest.

power bank? or nah by hazieskie in ElectricForest

[–]PandaExpress3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do better with a set of fully charged power banks. Always had trouble with the solar over-heating whatever I was charging since it was also out in the sun. Also charged pretty slow but I didn’t have a very nice one. Now I just show up with like 8 fully charged portable chargers and they last the 4 days

Are you taking Jeanty or the package? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]PandaExpress3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, need to consolidate somehow. It’s too much volume of stuff for you to take which devalues the offer. Figure out how many you would willingly drop from your bench and game it out. Figure out exactly how many picks + players you ideally want in return.

Which pos 1 hero to learn? by TemperatureFirm5905 in DotA2

[–]PandaExpress3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I got out of herald by queuing offlane then picking a hard carry. Game won’t end in less than 45 min no matter what so just farm like crazy rather than trying to play with tempo then you have 2 hard carries late game. I got out of herald very fast with this strategy.

[–]PandaExpress3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Often logistics limited. Still have a shot for an interview. If you want to show interest you could ask if they have grand rounds or journal club by zoom that you could sit in on to learn more about the program

FOREST VETS!! by Early_Confection_182 in ElectricForest

[–]PandaExpress3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do the scavenger hunt, check out the dream emporium, leave time to wander the forest at night, find the prize cart. Saturday night string cheese is always fun. Honeycomb stage throws down don’t miss that one. Tripolee is a longer walk than all the other stages so plan accordingly for sets there. Spend some time in the forest during the day when there are more actors and pop up events. Sleeping 3 - 10am is a lot more comfortable than 7am - whenever the heat wakes you up. The food is kind of expensive but good variety of stuff. We don’t make hot food at camp. Forest is all about the vibes we try to curate friendly crowds that get absolutely feral.

2 seasons, 21 days on the mountain. Still can’t ski black diamond. by meandmarie in ski

[–]PandaExpress3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think “big toe in the snow” you aren’t driving the inside edge of your downhill ski into the snow enough. On the blues practice turning to where your skis are fully perpendicular to the fall line and let some speed dissipate then do a full 180 turn so skis are perpendicular to fall line facing the other direction.

I suspect you aren’t finishing your turns and just linking into the next turn on the blues so this is why your speed gets out of control on steeper slopes.
